"Verify your business information to sell on Etsy" notice on dashboard - false alarm?

I see on my dashboard there is a notice:

Verify your business information to sell on Etsy

We had trouble verifying the info you provided. Upload a copy of government-issued business verification document to submit your details for review

When I click this link, I go to the legal/tax section and see I have both a verified government issued ID and a verified business identification document. I verified both of these several months ago and there is no action to take.

I assume this is a technical issue and there is nothing to do. Curious if others have seen this on their dashboard.

Ugh. For me it's asking for German VAT info. I don't sell to Germany anymore and specify that in my shipping. Soooo......

Gawd. I'm so tired of Etsy making mistakes and then making us spend our time to fix them.

I have the same issue with Germany and France and I don't sell outside the US. Anyone learn anything???

Yes, it is on my dashboard as well. I have all my documents uploaded (I am an incorporated business) and verified. I contacted Chat, they confirmed my documents, and they told me to just ignore it for now.

Same here, it's redirecting to the business verification part but it's not editable and already verified I will talk with the support and update here.

Thank you so much for sharing this! Same here! Glad to see I am not the only one! Shall I contact the Etsy support to fix this or wait till it fixed by their internal tech team?   It's so terrible to see Etsy makes mistake.

Got the same red banner today.  I checked and mine all says verified.

I received the same banner and all is verified.  I'm assuming a technical glitch.  I'm waiting to chat with Etsy support.

same here, this is the second time this glitch has happened in the last 6 months. I am ignoring it for now.

I also have this problem, Etsy has not confirmed it to be a bug, I told them after seeing the error that I resubmitted my info. They told me I should wait for confirmation....it is very strange to me.

I am 99% sure it is just a bug.

Same here. Received from help center 

"I would like to let you know that our engineering partners are currently aware of an issue where the "Update your taxpayer info" alert is showing to some sellers with that information already on file. We've added your report to the ongoing investigation so the team can take a deeper look into what's going on"

So I really hope they fix it soon

@Yourfavoriteparty   If this is an "ongoing investigation which engineer partners are currently aware of" (to which they've added your report), why is their NO Community Announcement about it.  In Technical Issues, where "ongoing investigations pertaining to known issues" belong?

(I'm not directing this at you.  People are coming to the Forum after receiving this Red Banner in their Shop Dashboard.  And Shops have been, and are being suspended.  So if there is a known problem, why not communicate it?)

ETA:  Also no Announcement in Seller's Dashboard about this ongoing investigation.  Which would certainly cut down Sellers contacting Etsy regarding something which engineers are currently aware of.

Cuz they don't notify us. The shipping issue (marking shipments as lacking tracking when they clearly had tracking) went on for a month or more before they fixed it and they never sent out an email. It's a serious lack of integrity, as far as I'm concerned.

All my documents were verified when opening the store. It seems to be verified in the documentation section as well, hopefully it will be fixed soon. I think it's a technical problem.

Saw this contacted seller support now they sent. Letter saying I have 24 hours to submit the control number or my shop will be shut down. We have submitted all of our business information two times over the past year and it still doesn’t say verified. This is our livelihood and I’m so stressed out. Something seems really wrong and they said until they verify it they are stopping funds Transfers! How am I supposed to process my orders and ship things without access to my money?! we have provided them with our articles of incorporation as well as our annual report!
