publishing error

I keep receiving an error message when I try to publish a new listing today. It won't even let me save it as a draft. I don't want to lose all the work I put into the listing. Is anyone else having this problem today?

@ILoveYouBunches: What error message are you getting? Are you having this issue using an Etsy app (on which operating system) or via mobile browser or desktop browser (which browser and operating system)? It makes a difference as to possible causes and potential solutions, otherwise we have to guess.

"There was an error saving your listing. Please try again."

I'm on my desktop browser using Chrome.

Until you can find a solution, if you have not done so already, save your listing description, etc. in a text document of some type so you don't have to recreate from scratch if you were to lose your work in progress.

I opened my shop in  a new tab and copied and pasted everything from my listing over and I was able to publish. Weird, not sure what happened, but at least I'm back in business.

Can't Preview. Can't Publish. Can't Save As Draft. In other words - I can't get a new listing published at all. What's going on with Etsy??

I sympathise. I have this as well. I have even got as far as a window that tells me I am about to use up one of my listings. If they highlighted the problem in red or told you what it was about, it would help. So far I've listed one item. Other people manage somehow. Good luck

I had to start over on a new tab and it worked. Some categories (item dimensions) on original listing had mysteriously vanished, so was probably causing the problem. They need to update their site. Feels a bit out of date.

Hi, I had this exact same issue. I was using the old version of Etsy listing upload page, so I switched to the new version (which I don't love!) and it worked fine. Not sure if this applies to you, but maybe it will help?

I'm also having the same issue right now! After updating my listing and selecting the publish option it gave me an error message about shipping. I was missing the height in the measurements so I fixed that. Now I'm just getting some generic response when trying to publish "Hm, we’re having trouble saving your changes. Try again, and if this keeps happening contact Etsy Support." and the ONLY thing I changed was adding another photo and adjusting the shipping measurements. This is getting ridiculous!

I'm having the same problem today. It is a red banner and it says "Hm, We're having trouble saving your changes. Try again and if this keeps happening contact Etsy support"

Here is my problems: 

1.  Deactivate a listing to make updates.  Try to Activate the listing with changes and receive this message - Leave site and changes may not save.  Changes do not save.

2. Create a new listing.  Mark Calculate Shipping.  Publish Listing.  Look at listing on Etsy and it says Free Shipping.  I do have 3 Shipping Profiles.  

3.  Create a new listing.  Mark as Feature Listing.  Publish Listing.  Look at Featured Listing and it is not on this list.  Have to mark star. 

My laptop is a Windows 8.1.  Sorry for the long post.  Thank you for anyone's help, Karen

I had the same problem. I decided to switch my browser to duck duck Go and it works now. I've tried everything else but this is working. Hope it works for you
