Re: postage adjustment

Personally, if I was the customer, I wouldn’t want to pay more than was advertised.

Re: postage adjustment

It is not legal to do that in many countries

You say what you want for the item plus shipping, the customer pays, you send it.

You need to get your shipping correct when you list it

Re: postage adjustment

  1. If you made the mistake in your estimate, you should eat the mistake and ship at the price quoted.
  2. If you really can't afford to eat the mistake, you need to cancel the sale with an apology to the buyer.
  3. Adding extra cost to an item after the sale could be considered bait and switch.  Which is illegal.
  4. If the buyer still wants the item at the higher cost, you can adjust the shipping and have them repurchase.
  5. There is no way to bill a client through Etsy, you can create a new listing and they can choose to purchase.  But you can't add extra to what they already were charged and paid.

Hope this helps!
