order stuck in ‘pre transit’

I recently used royal mail to post an untracked item, i entered in the tracking number provided even though it was an untracked service.

the buyer has received their order and have left a review and all, however the item has been stuck in ‘pre transit’ for months.

ive had this before, but it eventually made its way out and into delivered. how do i get it out of pretransit?

What happens if you click on the tracking number link on the actual order? If it opens the courier's tracking page and shows the scan history then you have proof that the tracking information was entered correctly.

An order still in "pre transit" usually means that the tracking information AS ENTERED cannot be validated.

ah that makes sense. royal mail provides tracking codes even if the order is untracked lol.
