I can delete the extra shipping labels, but the total amount for each label still shows up on the customers packing slip. As they are charged the total shipping then it's subtracted. I don't think customers need to see this. I used to be able to by pass this by hitting cancel on the lower left then go to the order number and process it that way. Now that doesn't work.
This only started about 2 months ago. I've had my Etsy store for over 9 years and this has never happened until recently.
My shipping profiles match what I list in the shipping information on each of my items.
Please help.
What you are paying for shipping labels does not show on the packing slip.
Right I know. What the customer pays will show up. But when a customer purchases more than one item, a shipping label is created for each item, not for the one order, as it has been done in the past. Then this total amount of shipping charges, even though I delete the extra labels, still shows up on the packing slip. It just did so this morning. I had to include a note to my customer to disregard that, that they were only charged for the items they bought and sales tax.
How can this multiple shipping charges be removed from the packing slip??
You have no ability to edit the packing slip.
Then this has to be a setting somewhere. This has not happened before in the 9 years I've had my shop. It just started recently and I don't think customers need to have this on their packing slip.
Did your settings get changed to charging shipping on each item rather than the additional items are 0? That is if you have flat rate shipping.
I haven't changed any settings and I don't use flat shipping. I do see that this is happening to other shops. I may just start using my own packing slips if this keeps happening. Thank you.
Are you sure you are looking at the packing slip and not the order receipt, which (the latter) is the seller's receipt?
If you're generating multiple labels instead of one, something is your shipping settings is set up incorrectly.
I have always used the packing slip in the 9 years I've had my shop. I haven't changed any settings but I'm going over everything right now. Thank you.
@StitchEaze: Can't speak to the Etsy labels (we don't use them) or the packing list (we generate our own) but we have sporadically had the issue using calculated shipping where the Etsy formula has decided that we should ship in multiple boxes.
Interesting. Maybe I'll start using my own packing slips. Thank you.
