Before printing an Etsy label, it will populate suggested data from your product and shipping calculations. If it’s wrong, you can easily override it by manually editing the entry fields. You can also create shipping presets to make it easier when you’re printing a shipping label.
Tip: Measure the product itself and its packaging (if any) rather than the actual shipping box it will go in. This helps calculate size and weight more accurately.
My Experience
Etsy will suggest I use a 15-inch-long rectangle box to fit my large orders, but it doesn’t take into account that my products can be stacked to fit in a shorter box. A shipping preset helps me quickly confirm weight and box size, overriding Etsy’s suggestions.
