Trying to list, keeps giving me Must be at least 1 characters
wont let me save my work, cant find a problem anywhere. I've checked everything in my listing, Ive never had this message before.
When you rename a custom variation make sure not to press enter but to click to an empty space. Pressing enter deletes the name.
Hello everyone!

Having said that, we are closing this thread as it is indeed a bit older, and the information contained here may be outdated.
Thank you!
Not referring to your Title?
Ive checked my title, theres no space at the beginning, its not too long.
The most common reasons you can't save as draft is a blank space at the beginning of the title or that one of the required fields is blank. With that message I would think it was an empty field. Of course, it could be a glitch, it's the weekend when things tend to fall apart.
when you figure it out, let us know.
I think it was a gitch, had to start from scratch lost all my work and had to start over, but it just finally published.
Glad you got it sorted; painful as it was!
This is why I do all my text on a separate notepad file (or another non-Word text program) and then paste into the listing as needed. If something goes screwy, I don’t lose all my work. I just copy and paste again.
I do the same in Word. Every item I have is written in Word in a file with the pictures and I just copy and paste.
But then, I have thousands of items.
The Same thing happened to me. I hunted and hunted for the error. It was in the name of the variation, at the beginning. I had done what RanShopStudio said. I checked and rechecked the names of the variations, but that wasn't the problem. It was only when I started all over and had to give the whole operation a name ("Fine China Pieces") that I'd made the mistake. Not in the variations ("Tea Set for 6" or "3-Tier Cake Stand). And it was clicking enter after "Fine China Pieces" that produced the error.
same
When I get this message I move the cursor to be in front of the first letter of my title and press backspace, that normally sorts it out, it doesn't always look like there is even a space there but that seems to clear the message.
I had this same issue trying to update a listing. I ended up having to create an entirely new listing from scratch in order to get past it. Hopefully they can get this sorted out before too long!
Did you fill in the 'how old is it' (or however it is worded)? I made a copy of a listing and needed to update that area. Maybe that's the problem? Another thing I've had to sometimes do is to add my zip code to my shipping profile. Check that too.
I had the error and it ended up being from adding a custom variation without giving it a name.
Thank you! That was the answer to my problem just now. Thanks a million!
