About once a day, I message each buyer after they have placed the order, going through them one by one, letting them know when their order will ship and item information, as per Etsy's best practices. Recently, when I'm done writing a message and clicking back to orders, it takes me to the top of the order queue. Then I have to scroll all the way down, find the last buyer I messaged, and send the next message to the buyer below, only to repeat the scrolling after each message is sent. Does anyone else experiencing the same thing? Any fix?
I hope they fix this before the holiday season. This is so time consuming.

i just submitted a request and he said this was the first they are hearing of the issue. if we all hop on live chat and ask about it im sure they'll look into it quicker!
Yes I am having same thing recently too. its weird though because my mom helps me with my shop and she is not having the issue on her computer.
Anyway, going to report it to Etsy. I agree with LetterCut. If enough of us report it they will hopefully look into it sooner!
For now I've just been searching a name from an order around where I last was to get me back to that spot.
With the "improvements" they are making this is probably this is an unintended consequence rather than a fix ...
This is happening to me too! I thought it was just my laptop messing up. I really hope they put this back to normal.
@BeadAndDestash On your (desktop) Orders And Shipping Page, it should say 'New' and 'Completed' with an edit link pencil glyph. Click on it and a popup will allow you to add / reorder / customize the progress steps.
So on Friday chat tells you this is the first they've heard of the issue... even tho one seller in this thread reported it to etsy on Tuesday. Why even bother offering sellers a CHAT feature if the chat personnel is not kept informed. It's like they think sellers will be mollified just by connecting/chatting with someone... forget actually DOING something, actually HELPING, or being INFORMED???
They need to revert back to the previous script because this is a very undesirable feature. If you're making personalised stuff the last thing you want is your list of orders scrolling to a different position. It's very easy to read the wrong order when products are similar and use the wrong date or message (in our case). It also wastes time scrolling back to the order you're working on.
I do personalized items and this glitch is terrible for that!

Reported it by chat and she said she'd look into it.
She left the chat rather abruptly when I said a lot of people are having the same issue, so I'll reserve judgement at the moment.
Yes, exactly the same issue here!! May seem like a small glitch, but it’s incredibly frustrating when sending out my order detail confirmation messages 🤯 Etsy please please fix this

It happened after this last update on the messages. I hope they see this tread and change that part back to the way it was before. It is soooo frustrating to have to scroll down each time you click on a message. It should just keep you where you were. I also send messages to my buyers and have a few pages to go through and it is now taking me 4x as long to do it all!
I have been experiencing this issue for about a week as well. Following this thread for updates.
@IssaBugsBoutique Until, and if, this scrolling is resolved, using the already available progress steps in the orders page may help you. On your (desktop) Orders And Shipping Page, you already have two progress steps: 'New' and 'Completed'. Find the edit link pencil glyph. Click on it and a popup will allow you to add / reorder / customize the progress steps. You can create steps that match your work flow and at the very least set it up so that the only orders in 'New' are ones you have not yet done anything with.
This is driving me bonkers. It happens every time I click an order to add a note too which I do very frequently. It's making order management a total nightmare
Yep, me too! It's been going on for about a week or so & It's driving me crazy! This is taking up way too much of my time with having to scroll back down to where I need to be! I use the 'progress steps' at the top of the page & the same is happening on each of those as well - not good!
Got an email reply today to my chat on Monday and it's basically turn your computer off and back on kind of steps that I tried prior to contacting them.
They're still acting like this is the first they're hearing about this.
I'm having the same issue! It's driving me CRAZY!!!!!! I just talked to Etsy they said "Looking into this, our engineering team is aware and currently looking into the problem with the Orders page. Please have no worries, they're working on resolving it as quickly as possible." Hoping it's fixed soon!!
