About once a day, I message each buyer after they have placed the order, going through them one by one, letting them know when their order will ship and item information, as per Etsy's best practices. Recently, when I'm done writing a message and clicking back to orders, it takes me to the top of the order queue. Then I have to scroll all the way down, find the last buyer I messaged, and send the next message to the buyer below, only to repeat the scrolling after each message is sent. Does anyone else experiencing the same thing? Any fix?
I'm just throwing this out there... I think it has something to do with the new chat ICON that they added. It literally just appeared on my orders page this morning, and I started having the issue this morning. I clicked on Chat and the "assured" me, actually she said "rest assured" multiple times, that this would be escalated to the department in charge of such things. This is huge damper on a streamlined process for high volume shops.
Still running into this. I don't think Etsy realizes how much this affects sellers. If there is an admin out there, I recommend flagging this one.
I'm still having the page scrolling thing. It's confusing and I've had to add more "steps" just to make sure I'm making the right reply to the right client. It's annoying and I sure wish they'd fix it but if I had to trade that for any of the other glitches, I'll take the glitch fix and then the scrolling thing. I don't see much of the jumping cursor anymore but it still happens every so often. One of my clients got a proof of something that wasn't hers and didn't ask for. She was nice about it and sent a "lol" but it did make me feel like a complete idiot.
Some days it's a challenge to do business!
Finding this latest 'issue' so very frustrating and adding so much extra admin time to an already busy day. Combining all messages from one customers, some with upwards of 20+ transaction's is frustrating, having my outgoing messages showing in the inbox alongside received messages is extra frustrating, but the most frustrating of all is the jumping back to the top of the orders list when sending messages.. mistakes are being made!! There was nothing wrong with how it all was!!! Note: attempts at explaining this to anyone on Chat has been futile. Rant over!!
Just got an update from Etsy that this particular glitch has been corrected. Went directly to my orders page and tried it out, sure enough, they seem to have fixed it.
