Hi all!
When I'm creating multiple listings for similar items--say, vintage cookie cutters--I often use the "copy existing listing" function to get a listing started, then customize the details as necessary. But I'm finding that sometimes when I delete old Materials info and add new, and change the "when was this made" date, the changes don't take. Whatever I specified for the original listing is what customers see (even though I can see the new info in the listing form). Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Has anyone figured out how to fix it?
This is on the computer-based version of Etsy. On the mobile app, I no longer see dates or materials at all! Can someone tell me where they are now?
Is this on the new or old listing version?
Oh...wait. Sorry. I think I misunderstood your question. Are you asking which listing form I'm using to create my listings? I'm still using the old form. I find it easier to work with than the new one. Is that the problem? I need to switch?
It happens when I copy an old listing and then adapt it into a new one. I can change the photos, the main description, the tags, the shipping info, etc. -- all those changes show up in the published listing. However, when I change the materials (and sometimes the decade it was made), those things *look* changed on the listing form, but when I publish, they revert to whatever they were in the original/old listing.
Are you changing it in the Details section using the add more details button and then the apply button?
Agreed! When I copy an existing listing to get started on a new one, I don't even see the option to change the decade for vintage items. I only see these fields when beginning from scratch. Needs to be fixed, please!
You have to go the Details section and click on the Add more details button, then click on the apply button.
@ModMidden, I don't use the mobile app to list but on my lap top you have to go to the Details section and click on add more details and that brings up the what, when, and who part.
