items not appearing in search

many of my items (15 items so far) are not appearing in ANY search results, either site-wide or within my shop. i've searched in incognito mode AND signed in to the browser. i've searched signed in AND not signed in to etsy. the items do not appear in any search results (i've checked ALL pages) and do not appear when i do an in-shop search.

i have created a pinterest board with all of the items that do not appear in ANY search results. https://www.pinterest.com/miriboheme/not-showing-up-in-etsy-search/

this is not a complete list, as i would need time to conduct searches on all of my items (almost 220).

does anyone have any insight? i've been selling here since 2012.

Your shop and items are indexed, so theoretically they are all somewhere in search. Your in-shop search also works fine for me.

How do you tell if listings are indexed or not?

@Miriboheme: Have you checked (by searching WITHIN your shop) that the listings are indexed? Keep in mind that if everyone on this forum searched for the exact same phrase they would all get different results. Because of "personalized searches" you can NOT rely on anyone's search results to define how your listing is ranked. There are many many factors that affect listing placement and the relative weight of each factor probably changes constantly. Even exact word matches to your title no longer ensure that you will appear on page 1. Your listing may be appearing on page 251 and Etsy is only showing the first 250 pages to the world. Add to that the reports in this forum about apparent recent changes to the search and it seems to be up for grabs if search will return what you are actually looking for.

There is something weird going on...

If I search for your entire title (Etsy main search): 

PICK YOUR COLOR stretch velvet maxi, long skirts, a-line flattering floor length dance skirt, sexy sweet form fitting flared

then the listing shows in the results on line 1 (under Ads), position 4

HOWEVER, if I search for 

PICK YOUR COLOR stretch velvet maxi, long skirts, a-line flattering floor length dance skirt

then it says 'We couldn't find any results for PICK YOUR COLOR stretch velvet maxi, long skirts, a-line flattering floor length dance skirt'

????

chat told me to change my titles/tags. big surprise there. no help at all.

i just got off the phone with etsy help, though, and they were very helpful! at least they acknowledged that it was a problem. the lady (Sam - super nice) let me know that she was escalating the case and that the team would get back to me as soon as they can. i feel much better now that someone at etsy has answered and seems to understand.

OP, when I searched now for that listing, it says your shop is empty. I don't know what Etsy has done unless you have lost some necessary information on all listings. Check all emails.

Could Etsy be making items not findable in Etsy search, so then people switch over to Google to try and find it [with the same search terms] then viola it's there. People click the item and the seller gets charged the marketing fee. Just curious.

Have you logged out of etsy and cleared the cache before going into incognito or private mode?  Have you tried different browsers, for example Firefox AND chrome?  Have you tried what was suggested above, searching in google or duckduckgo to see if your items show up in google?  If they do, do NOT follow them into etsy lest you get charged!  I would first try clearing your computer/laptop cache and trying searching again, first logged out, then logged in.  See if that may help.

How did you contact Etsy for reindexing? With chat and then they send you email?
