i keep getting messages that say

Final Compliance Notice – Immediate Banking Verification Required

Merchant,

Your Etsy store has been locked and suspended due to a failure to validate essential banking details linked to your account. A recent payment attempt was rejected after your financial data failed verification checks.

This enforcement is aligned with Etsy’s mandatory compliance standards and platform risk protocols. Your access has been revoked and all commercial activity halted until the verification is completed.

Required Immediate Action:
To restore functionality and avoid further penalties, complete the secure banking verification via the following link:

Until compliance is met: • Your storefront and listings are fully deactivated
• Order processing is disabled
• All funds are placed under administrative hold

If no action is taken, the following consequences will apply without exception: • Permanent ban from the Etsy platform
• Irreversible deactivation of your merchant account
• Escalation to the Platform Integrity Division
• Termination of your agreement under Section 9.7 of the Etsy Merchant Contract
• Potential legal and regulatory consequences, where applicable

Live support is available through our chat system —click the chat icon at the bottom right of the Etsy site for assistance.

This is a final notice. Failure to respond will result in full account closure with no further appeal.

and gives me a link or i get

Message:Hello dear seller!

A customer wanted to purchase a product, but an error occurred while placing an order. The system writes “Shop is not fully registered”.

The system says that you need to recheck the store

and sends me a link there too

should i do it i dont know what to do i need help asap.

I don't think Etsy, actually contacting you, would say "Hello dear seller".  I'd definitely say "scam". (And I was able to put one of your items into my shopping cart, no problem. I know that isn't necessarily conclusive.)

Hopefully somebody here will have more input!

Hi Avery,

I'm sorry you received this message.  It looks like a scam to me.  Please don't click any of their links.  Here's a link to Etsy's page for scams and suspicious messages.

https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_scams_suspicious_msgs_seller-solut...

One of those red flags is a creating a false sense of urgency, which "final notice" sounds quite urgent.  I'm looking at your store and I see two shirts for sale.  If you need more help, there's a button at the bottom of the page.

Hopefully, someone on the Etsy team sees your post and addresses it with you.

Those are scams. There are folders in your messages section and if the message doesn't show as being in the "From Etsy" folder, it's NOT from etsy.

Etsy also doesn't use convos to sellers very often in my experience. I've received maybe 3 messages from etsy through the messaging system and I've been here for many, many years.

If etsy needs something from you, there is usually a note on your shop dashboard and they also get in touch by email. As a side note, if you are using a gmail, yahoo, hotmail, outlook, or other free email account messages from etsy could very well end up in your spam folder.

Scam meant to get you to reveal personal information.  Your store is open.

Your shop is open.  What you have received is a scam message.  Place it in spam.

Do finish your shop.  Scammers look for shops that are brand new and incomplete in the hopes they can trick you into giving them personal information.

@VaultXVII Your shop is NOT suspended.
If it was you'd have a yellow banner and no items would be showing for sale.

Both messages are SCAMS.

You have 0 orders and a buyer nor Etsy would ever contact you that your "shop is not fully registered" and want you to click a link to take you off Etsy.

Both are scams to get you off Etsy to supposedly verify your bank account and/or credit card info.
They'll ask you how MUCH money you have in the  bank, doesn't matter if you have $1 or $10K in the bank.  You don't need money in your bank to get funds transferred when you get a sale here.

Etsy would never say " Hello Dear Seller".
If it was from Etsy it would be in the FROM ETSY section on your message page.

There's this info BELOW every single message you get warning you of these scams.
"To stay protected, stay on Etsy. Never follow links to other sites, and don’t share contact, account, or financial info with anyone in Messages. Learn how to spot spam."

If anything ever needs updating on your account, you see a notice on your dashboard or finance page. If it's not there, then nothing needs updating.

Genuine messages from Etsy will appear in the 'From Etsy' section of the messages page.

Anyone can send you a message (buyers, other sellers etc). Any message that looks like it's from Etsy but is not in the 'From Etsy' section, is from a scammer.

@Amaradorn is correct! Some scammers even have a similar Etsy logo to appear to be the real Etsy but it is not.

Spam the Scam!

First thing to do is go to your account is it suspended? Second go to messages look under the "from Etsy" tab is this message there if just in regular messages, a scam? It is likely a scam as it wants you to put in information which you will click on a tab in the message taking you off etsy which is the scammers MO

@VaultXVII  Hi, Welcome to Etsy. And I'm very sorry you've been targeted by scammers. They tend to hit on new Sellers, shortly after they've listed an item/s, and that's unfortunate. I'm glad you posted the verbiage in this case, because it may help other new Sellers in case they receive something like this.
These goons are often trying to reinvent themselves. And in your Messages, it looks like they're attempting to grow a brain ("Termination of your agreement under Section 9.7 of the Etsy Merchant Contract"). When you receive a LEGITAMATE Order, it will appear under "Orders" in your Shop Manager/Dashboard (Left Column). It will also be in your Payment Account. It an Order does not appear in those place, you have no Order. Just don't forget to zap the spammers Messages to oblivion, so you don't get dinged for Star Seller.

I hope this is helpful to you, and may the scammer garbage cease. All the Best.

Is Etsy reeeaally actively preventing scammers from targeting us?  It doesn't feel that way.  They visit my inbox very very frequently.
