Why not get your own independent website instead of using Pattern which is linked to Etsy?

I havent use pattern yet im just using the trial to find out about how it is, and yes i think i will use other provider linked to my domain instead such as WP. Pattern possibilities are too limited

Pattern is just like having your own site, which means YOU have to do all the optimization for Google and other outside search engines. Make sure you are fully aware of Google optimization. 

Pattern is best for those who already have a large social media presence and drive their own traffic.
