Hi, when browsing via Etsy I noticed that some listings are all black - first picture is not visible ... I jumped into my shop and noticed the same! Is there something going on?
@TheHippieCrystalHut Just want you to know; I went through your Shop and see no blank boxes *(desktop computer, Chrome, Windows 10) (I know everyone views differently depending on device, browser, etc.)
So, yesterday, I tried something others have done, I went into the listings that had dodgy or block colour photos etc and the thumbnail picture was white. I just clicked on it and adjusted the photo.
Today all is looking good. Hopefully it's sorted now.
This is definitely still not resolved, and it seems like it might be browser related. The first two items in my shop show a blank thumbnail using Windows 10 & the latest version of Chrome. If I clear cache the thumbnails re-appear, then they disappear again between 24 & 48 hours later. I sure hope the Etsy Photo Team are still working on it.
@DaysofYoreTreasures I went through your Shop (cache was cleared last night). I see one blank photo (white box). On Pg. 1, Marilyn. *(Desktop computer, Chrome, Windows 10)
And Buyers use a variety of devices, browsers, etc. We have no idea what they are seeing at any given time, which makes this even more frustrating.
@ChillwolfArt thank you for checking! I have readjusted my thumbnails several times, sometimes it works but then reverts to blank spaces again. Fingers crossed it's a permanent fix now.
I just checked your shop using Windows 10 & Chrome. Unfortunately I found 3 items with blank thumbnails. Page 2 No. 11 Crystal ball...- blank brown. Page 2 No. 22 The Zenned out... - blank blue. Page 4 No. 11 Howlite tumblestone... - blank brown.
I think the main colour of the thumbnail photo is being used. Not that it helps at all because who is going to click on a blank picture from search, regardless of colour.
The other day I checked & still had several listing thumbnails showing enlarged, with only 1/4 of the picture showing. I still had a customer favorite one of the items, so don't know what they are seeing & don't have time to keep checking all my listings, at least something is showing.
I'm forwarding you a fix to the blank thumbnails that has worked for 2 weeks for me so far. You are on a different technical support thread or you would have seen my note before now. Hopefully Etsy will fix issue so that sellers don't have to do this. Wanda DazzlingAccents.

Currently I'm not experiencing any problems with the listing photo thumbnails being blank, black, white or distorted viewing them from my computer or phone. I did have the issues several months ago. The only problem that I had several weeks ago was using my phone and seeing distorted or out of position thumbnails at the bottom of the HOME PAGE where the "About DazzlingAccents" thumbnails where displayed. I complained, never heard anything, but I no longer see the "About DazzlingAccents" thumbnail section on the phone app. It seems that the ABOUT section was removed from being displayed in the app for the phone. However, that section can be viewed on the home computer. It seems that Etsy removed the ABOUT section from displaying thumbnail photos incorrectly on the app, at least until they fix the phone app. Again, I have no current, active display issues. I wish I could go back to the original full edited app. I found it worked just fine. I guess I'll just keep galloping down the road.
