Hi, when browsing via Etsy I noticed that some listings are all black - first picture is not visible ... I jumped into my shop and noticed the same! Is there something going on?
Just popped back to say I am about to print some packing slips, and whilst the thumbnail images in my shop appear to be okay (as far as I can see), the thumbnails on the packing slips are both jet black boxes. This does not look good for my customer - I suppose I will have to see if there's a setting to remove them.
Edited to say: I found that you can choose whether to include the images on the packing slips.
Reached out to Etsy about this today and sent screenshots. They said they are investigating and would respond to me via email soon. Been seeing this for over a month now.
I've had this off and on for the past few days, quite a few today. Afraid to add new listings. Some of these are listings that have been up for a few months, so it's not about just new listings, since they were fine for months, but now the black box. I saw a post elsewhere about the file size may need to be 1-5 MB, but they were fine before. Sigh.....
Reached out to Etsy yesterday, the person I spoke with said all appears fine on their end. I sent screenshots to show what I was seeing on my end, they kept saying it's probably a problem with my internet connection. Regardless, I just cleared my cache and now my shop appears okay. I also just checked @imperfectlyworthy shop as hers was showing lots of brown boxes yesterday, it looks fine at the moment.
Can anyone else here whose seeing this clear their cache/cookies and then let us know if it fixes it? I don't know if this is just a temporary fix or not.
Zoomed in thumbnail photos and black boxes on others. Just started this morning on random pics when trying to print out orders. Not all are doing this, only a few.
One new listing in my other shop had super zoomed first pic. It looked OK on my PC and the new app but the old app was super zoomed. I went in and that first pic was sort of larger file wise so I just deleted it and used another as the thumbnail and it worked fine. It should not be zooming regardless of file size though..it never has before!
I really think this is user dependent. I just looked at my shop on my phone, not through the app but through Etsy.com. Everything looks fine, my husband did the same on his phone, on every page in my shop there's at least one listing where the first listing image is blacked out.
Keeps happening even though I'm trying to switch the thumbnails around... It's completely random and REALLY messing up the atheistic view of my shop, not to mention potential customers. Please fix this ETSY.
