error message when updating listings

Error message when trying to update one of my listings.. So far it is only happening on one listing. Error message Euzk6rCexXiB6aybruWusgAxKI09.  I've tried different browsers but that didn't help

Same with me. I found a temporary workaround: it has to do with disabled variations. Example:

A listing with following options: color Blue and Green and material Metal and Wood, SKUs changing with every variation:

Blue - Metal - sku1

Blue - Wood - sku2

Green - Metal - sku3

Green - Wood - sku4

If you disable variation sku1 AND sku2 or sku3 AND sku4, you will see the error message and not be able to save the listing. Workaround: enable all the variations you need and delete all others that you don't need instead of disabling them!

Just wanted to pop on here and say thank you, because this did work.  I knew the issue was within the variations .  I think because I had so many different variations and  many disabled ones, there was just too much information within that listing, but once I deleted all the ones I wasn't using, and saved that and then back into the listing to make changes, then it saved and applied everything. Thanks so much

I did report my findings above to Etsy already. But unfortunately Etsy treats us like imbeciles. They started to suggest I should change my browser etc. And they try to let it appear as if I was the problem and not their system! They don't acknowledge bugs in their system, they always assume it's users error. I have several other bugs reported and they never resolved them, after 1 year of waiting they simply closed the ticket. That's the sad reality with Etsy. Therefore I posted here the workaround to help people out as you can't expect much from Etsy to resolve this.

For others on this thread, this may be the same issue I've had since last summer (and other sellers also). Been getting those red box errors with codes when trying to publish changes of any kind. Mine are digital items, no variations, tried absolutely everything, Etsy finally determined it is on their end, but no estimated time to be fixed, and made it sound not high priority. I've given up on it ever being fixed, as I still can't edit almost half my listings for many months now.

Glad to see it is just not me with this error message issue. It is so frustrating. I can do one listing. Then the next one here comes the stupid error message. I have had this issue for over a week now and I have almost given up adding new items to my shop because of it.

I have been having issues listing new product, and I found that if I go to review, then it will save the listing.

Can not Update or make changes on listing variations…. Etsy support is useless

First time reaching out about this I was told just use the website. Next time today the guy told me to stop asking so my question so we could reply to the one thing to which she didn’t tell me to watch for email and now any message that in the chat box is not right or responded to you did the exact opposite of what I asked him not to do

I had talked with Etsy support, and they are indeed useless!  I gave them a screenshot of the error code as suggested, and they basically wanted me to do a bunch of different steps to find out the error myself.  Umm, excuse me, but that's their job.  I told them that the error should tell them where the issue lies, but they had told me that it does not.  Wow, now that's pretty stupid! 

Anyways, after messing around with my second listing and getting the same error, I had done the following and it worked for me. 

When editing a product, if an error pops up, try choosing the Material below the Attributes and pick the one that matches your item, and in my case, plastic.  Then in the Materials option below the Tags, which I guess you put down what type of material it is, and in my case it's PLA lightweight plastic. From there just hit publish.

I hope this information helps anyone or better yet, everyone.  Good Luck.

Hi everbody here, I've got the same problem as eveyone here for MONTHS ! 

I mailed Etsy Help center sending them the "error code" and they answered they were going "to look what's wrong". Of course, they didn't do anything, and I can't modify anything in any of my product description (nor photos, neither texts or price).

Does anyone has an idea ? I'm desesperate...

I'm stuck with this same problem also, since around June 2024. 90+ listings I can't change anything on. Mine are digitals. The only solution I see is to make new listings for those items, which I'm about to do, but then I will lose all the views & sales history and favorites for them which seems unfair. I worked with support last year for several months, they determined it's on Etsy's end, and doesn't sound like it will ever be fixed. So disappointing.
