When I have more than 1 of a listing for sale it appears as a single visible listing (main photo, title, description, etc) with the quantity available number shown once listing is clicked on.
A sale came in where customer purchased many items, most in a quantity of 1, several in a quantity of 2. They registered correctly (icicles - 2, for example). Somehow they were able to buy 2 of a listing that appeared as a duplicate (2 individual listings of the same exact item). That should be impossible. I relist from sold when something sells out, just adding quantity. I don't ever create an entire new listing. Now in my shop front, when I click on "yarn bundles" section it is showing me 2 individual listings for "bayou" ... one showing 1 available, one showing as sold ... how? Sold outs shouldn't be showing in our shop fronts.
I only had a quantity of 1 available and just made a second to fulfill the order that was made possible to purchase due to this bug.
Anyone experiencing this?
@KnotOriginal: If you click on the listings, do they have the same or a different listing number?
@BagmakerSupply That's a good question, I hadn't thought to look. They are different but I hadn't had them showing as duplicate listings before this morning and there's still no reason why they are both still showing in my storefront, one as SOLD.
I've also recently just had 2 old customers just receive convos from 2016 and 2019.
It seems like years old things are just showing up out of nowhere.
I saw a post yesterday about the exact same thing hapening--another Etsy "bug" probably.
@KnotOriginal I noticed a few days ago that a newly sold listing was showing up on my storefront page as sold…it disappeared after an hour. Must be a bug. There was a delay in removing the sold out listing from the storefront but at least it said sold.
@MulherinLane mine has finally disappeared, right after an etsy "uh oh". guess there's lots of uh ohs going around.
One of my sold items was showed up in my shop. It was purchased. Then Etsy billed them twice. Then refunded twice. I contacted Etsy, they said the quantity on the item was changed in Aug 2022 to show one. I have not looked at that listing since 2017, when I sold it. Etsy said with the quantity change it showed up in my shop. Since I had not looked at the listing since 2017, I am thinking this is a systems issue. I have learned in the forums, Etsy will not ever admit if there is a systems issue.
They then said I could delete all of the sold items. I emailed them back to ask if the pic still stayed on the order. Waiting for that response.
@Jewels2at wow! whenever i have to deal with them on the phone or through messaging thing they're usually pretty helpful. it's weird that so many are having issues with years old convos and items making an appearance lately. whenever it's super buggy around here it means they're working on a change ...
Yikes
