A customer who ordered 5 digital files, and downloaded them, and then cancelled order, and it show a full refund was issued. But I did not issue that refund.

I did not think this could happen.  I am so confused and would like to know if someone could offer me some insight?

They probably did a chargeback with their credit card. Perhaps it was unauthorized use or fraud. Etsy won't fight chargebacks.

you can contact Etsy and tell them what happened they need to reimburse you as they will be able to see she downloaded.

Sorry this happened to you.

I think there have always been risks with online selling in general and selling digital files in particular. Unprincipled buyers hurt everyone by adding to the costs of selling online.

I wish there was a solution.

Th customer can't cancel,

only you and etsy can cancel

The payment might of hic-cupped, or they might have done a chargeback as fraud
