Hello,
Etsy has closed my account (IALShop) because of the order from Qatar.
A customer from Qatar ordered 50 t-shirt.
Etsy consider that that order was money laundering.
I contact to customer and she said that has a big family and her son birthday party.
She also contact to etsy team and send t-shirt photos of arrrived.
She request to reopened the IALShop again, but etsy does not care.
Interesting? I was thinking the same thing.
@CatsWhiskersCurios I wondered the same thing when I first read this.
@bradgoodell having read the recent response by the OP, I'm convinced that's the case.
Well, it does confirm that Etsy occasional catches and closes questionable shops with questionable ownership.
The OP is not responding to any of us so we can only speculate if there's no input. I'm moving on unless or until we hear more info.
The Cached version I can see is from 10 Oct and the Shop was closed at that time, so this is not "recent".
I wonder what happened with their WM shop … google thinks unhappy thoughts!
Hi Everyone,
I am IALShop owner.
Etsy didn't send me an e-mail saying that I was laundering money, I just thought that after the order (50 tshirts) from Qatar, etsy thought so.
In the e-mail he sent about the closure of my account, it does not say why my store was closed. But in my friend's store, there are more tshirts from etsy.
(over $3000) after receiving an order, he said his store was closed.
You can find the e-mail that etsy sent a ban below.
I want to reopen my store. Please can you help me.
Etsy no longer responds to my emails.

There is nothing any of us can do. The only think you can do is appeal Etsy's decision, as they say. I still think there is a lot more to this story than you are telling us.
Did you respond to the email appealing their decision? It says they can't do anything or tell you more unless you do. If you have, and they said it was permanent, then that's the end of it. It's their house, their rules, and they specifically say you broke the terms of use rules. Everyone here can only speculate based on what you're telling us, and we definitely can't open your shop back up.
If Etsy closes one shop for permanently for violating Etsy's policies, Etsy will close all shops related to that one. If you used the same IP, bank account, or have other links, Etsy sees it and closes all shops and bans all owners.
Also, so just violated another of Etsy's policies by sharing the private message between you and Etsy.
Hi there,
We ask that you not discuss the private details of your interactions with Etsy representatives. This point is outlined in our Community policy: https://www.etsy.com/legal/community
@IALShop we can't help open it , but we can help with advice. 50 tshirts is not really a big order in the grand scheme of things. So i don't think it has anything to do with closure. Now were you selling trademarked images? what country are you in and what country do you ship from, I have started to see plenty of shops that have opened that are not who they say they are. and Etsy will eventually catch that.
@IALShop We cannot help you. We are Sellers in the Forums and responding from the Technical Issues section. We cannot help open your shop.
SO maybe Plaid is doing it's job? What say you?
That's what I said earlier in the thread. I suspect we may see more of this type of complaint as the deadline for Plaid verification is passed for many Shops.
And yes, I believe this is one of the intended consequences of the Plaid verification process.
It would be interesting to see if the OP has tried to verify via Plaid.
I doubt it, the OP said they were selling from Qatar, Plaid verification is so far only rolled out to US shops.
Thanks, I stand corrected. I saw the words from Qatar and thought she was talking about shipping from Qatar. I am a speed reader, sometimes the mind misses a word here and there.
Yeah I’m thinking that for whateverreason they didn’t verify their account in the time frame and Etsy closed them.
or possibly when they verified something seemed off so Etsy closed them.
There is a second "New Jersey" Shop reporting permanent closure today. OP did say her "friend's" shop was closed. Both Shops have interestingly similar Payment Methods (with no Pay Pal).
