chat with Etsy not working

In other Forum Threads Moderators have advised that Chat is available  9 am to 7 pm Mon - Sat and 10 am to 7  pm Sun UTC.

That being said, I am in Australia and it is 7.30 am here. Chat via the Help Center > Community and Help is available to me. This would be 9.30 pm UTC.

However" the "Black Envelope" Link to Support which presents for Star Sellers is not visible . THis seems to come and go, despite Etsy boasting SSP Shops would have access to "Chat" 24/7

If one method does not work, try the other.

Yup, more often than not, they just recite an Etsy policy to you that may or may not apply and are not able to actually think outside the box to resolve issues that are not quick and simple.

it is not outside of etsy hours. it has not worked for a few weeks. seems to be a bug with programming?

The Etsy chat box only appears on my "Orders & Shipping" page.  You might want to try that.

my chat box is still not working! it does not work on multiple computers. i have cleared cache and everything. Doesn't even work on my new computer i bought. Emailed Etsy with no response so far...

@Beadboat1 Recently, Etsy added the "Quick Access" Chat Box (in the form of a small black envelope) which is placed on pages in Shop Manager. This is an "added extra" for Shops with Star Seller Badge for the Month. 

The normal Help Center "Chat" is accessible to anyone via Shop Manager > Community and Help > Contact Us > Selling on Etsy > then search through the Topics (scrolling to the very botton) until you see Email Us/Chat/Have us Call you.

Both the Chat "Quick Access" link and the Contact Us one in Help Center come and go depending on time of day, shop location, issue and support workload etc.

Currently, it does not seem you have any SSP Mini Badges nor the overall Badge, so you will not have the "Quick Access" link. You can, however, find a contact method using the Help Center process.

The SSP "Quick Access" Chat was promoted when introduced to be 24/7, but, personally, I have never seen it permanently "open". It. too, appears to come and go.
