Copied listing erased and switched to active one while I was writing it

I copied a listing.  I was half way done making a new listing when the whole screen suddenly blinked, and suddenly all my changes were gone, and worse, the listing was the ACTIVE listing and not the copy!  What?  That has never ever happened before.  I'm sure I pressed copy?  And the whole listing reverted, which shouldn't have happened no matter what mode I was in.

Why is listing so hard?

Deactivate the listing. Then edit it with the correct information and Re-Activate it.

Probably some glitch.

I cancelled the changes because I didn't want to ruin my active listing.

The Sequel:  I come back hours and hours later, and there is a draft of my changed listing saved in the draft folder that wasn't there earlier. 

But I nearly messed up my active listing because it switched in the middle.

Sounds like your computer hiccupped.  Not all problems that happen are Etsy related.
