my page for listing

keeps freezing when

I try to add the category.

I have tried three times

to get a listing on the page

but the page keeps telling me

to add a category after I have 

done so.  sigh!

Just had 20 listings uploaded yesterday, audited them before bed. Prices, variations, quantities all good.

Today all the variations are gone.

When you hit "add a listing", you get a window to fill out (photos, description, etc.) At the very top of this page there should be a blue-coloured field "switch to old version".

I had no idea there were two versions

like when I found out I had diabetes and asked stupidly-

I just had the same issue and lost all the progress I had making my listing just now. SO FRUSTRATING! I have to start from scratch all over again. I've had SOOO many issues with the abrupt changes, deactivations, errors and Etsy's overall platform this year alone that has made me really consider closing my account and starting my shop somewhere else! It's getting ridiculous!

I'll copy-paste my reply one more time because somehow it shows up at the very bottom of this discussion. When you make a new listing, you hit "add a listing", a window opens up for you to fill out (photos, description, etc.) At the very top of this page there should be a blue-coloured field "switch to old version".  Click that one and it works. They even ask you why you want to switch back to old version.

I have the same issue. The bottom publish bar is persistent and such you cannot actually select a category from this dreadful interface. 

How this was pushed out into production is beyond me as there is no way you can actually publish a listing. It is bad enough their new app simply does not work!!

When I try to "save changes" to thumbnails, instead "publish copy" button is being displayed.

My process for new listings go as:

I copy an old listing to make a new one (variations/sizes/quantity and all), go to edit the thumbnails, and instead of saving thumbnail changes, it just wants me to publish the listing (no "save changes" or whatever the verbiage was for saving thumbnails)

If I copy from a listing w/ variations and publish the new listing, I lose all variations.

I fixed all errors retroactively in 5 minutes w/ the bulk editing tool "Vela" but I am not uploading until this get fixed.

For anyone using the new listing form, trying to switch to the old...When you are in the listing, it says something about, You are using the new listing experience.  To switch back to the old version, click (this).  Then it makes you say why you switched back. It was easy for me.  I like working with something more streamlined and efficient (which the old listing form is).  And not using more clicks in the new form than I used in the old, to perform a simple task.  I want to work smarter, not harder.

Hope this helps anyone having trouble.

Still not working here month later. Core details page still frozen. Totally. 3 Etsy chats few Etsy messages via email still not fixed. Been doing desk top but very glitch still so my listings earning seriously down now . Not browser issue clear cache reboot soft ware problem Etsy end. No option for old listing forms here. In fact alot of what others see and do not on this end. I'm seriously considering shutting my shop now as now non profit forming. It's a enforced decision. I can't see anything picking up or changing. Not even seller help line for calls no more .

According to other posts, Etsy is aware of this problem but from the number of people posting about it, it isn't fixed yet. 

 If at all possible go to a live listing that is somewhat comparable to what you want to list, from your shop home page. Click on duplicate.

I know you might have to change a lot of things but what I do is clear everything right from the top of the page that I will be changing.

Since I sell a lot of sewing patterns I usually look for another pattern that has the same sizing, then I don't have to type that again in my description.

This will not impact the one you are using.

Vintage items you run huge risk of items not described cases doing that. Lot have suggested that but no their no seller support anymore it's pretty done for my shop now.

If you delete everything from the listing you are duplicating, you won't have that problem as nothing carries over unless  you leave it in.
