I can't sign into any of my ETSY shops since Thursday, September 29th. The message I get when I try to is "You may be unable to access your account". My shops are open and I can see by the number of sales, that are increasing, that I have had orders come through since Thursday, that I cannot process. Nor can I communicate with my customers to let them know the issue. The money in my payment accounts is transferring to my bank, like usual. Also, I am in the middle of my taxes, I need to access my accounts asap because the deadline is approaching. I have not been able to talk to an ETSY technical support person because there is no way to do that. I have had two on-line "chats" and have a ticket number, but no updates. I've asked for a call back but have not received a call. I need help. Don't know if anyone else has any ideas to resolve. A few samples of my shop names are AntiqueAppliques, AnniesAntiques, PetalAnnie
@AntiqueAppliques : Part of the issue may be that this shop has no policies and you do not appear to be disclosing your other shops. These seem to sometimes trigger an investigation by Etsy.
Thank you for your note. I do list my other shops in both my announcment section and profile section. Also, I put my list of shops on almost every listing. Not sure what I set up for my shop policies. I've never had an issue before and have been selling on ETSY for over 10 years.
@AntiqueAppliques : Unfortunately, lately it seems that what was okay on Etsy yesterday is not okay today. If you received an eMail from Etsy about this make sure you reply to it or click on the "I Still Need Help" link to keep it alive. If you are trying to log in via an app, try a browser (or a different browser). Sometimes that works.
Sorry to hear. It's the weekend so I doubt you'll get much help but you do have a ticket in so that's a good start. The callback is only on the week days. Are you receiving any emails from Etsy? Check your spam emails as well. I pulled this from the help section for you. I'm not sure what applies to your situation. There's also an Announcement in the forums. Hope this helps.
I can’t sign in because of two-factor authentication
If you’re having trouble with two factor authentication try using one of the backup codes given to you when you enabled two-factor authentication.
I have the correct username and password, but I can’t sign in
If your web browser is out of date, that can cause problems signing in. Learn how to update your web browser.
I received a security code email from Etsy
Etsy takes precautions necessary to safeguard your information and security codes are just one of the many ways we maintain the integrity of our marketplace. To prevent unauthorized access to your Etsy account, Etsy may periodically send you an email alert with a unique security code to be used as a one-time password.
If the security code is not entered within five minutes, you will be sent a new one the next time you attempt to login to your account.
Have you got the order emails from Etsy?
If so that has all the details of items ordered, name/address, mail class etc, so you should be able to ship items.
If you can't access Etsy, you can always use Pirate Ship or another online shipping site.
Pirate ship is free to use and integrates with Etsy.
I don't see policies on this shop you're posting from. I see policies on other shops you have.
As for as disclosing all your shops I do see all of those on your public profile page.
I'd try that call back again.
It really sucks that sellers can't get help and even worse when it's something this serious.
Here's the call back link.
https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?segment=selling#issue_sell_manage_listings-callback
I've tried entering my telephone number in the call back screen you provided a link to 5 times and it doesn't work. I'll keep trying. You are going to think I am an idiot, since I started selling in 2008, I got so use to just checking my ETSY emails directly in my shop I forgot about checking the email directly related to each shop. Thank you so much, you have made my day! I wish you were standing right next to me, I would give you a big hug. Working on my shipping now. I guess because I can't update my tracking number, my star seller status will suffer, but at least I am fulfilling my order obligations.
@AntiqueAppliques what browser are you using? Is it Firefox? You might have an extension blocking. Use another browser and see if you get the same issue.
It could also be your anti-virus blocking if it has been updated as sometimes that causes errors.
Have your run utilities and anti-virus to make sure you have no malware blocking your entry?
You can try chatting with Etsy, the chat does work on the weekend, I just spoke with them.
I've been trying, can't get in. Thank you for the note, though, all suggestions welcomed.
The callback is for weekdays, not weekends. That's why it's not working for you.
I don't think it is my browser or anti virus, because I've tried on my iphone and my husband's laptop, same results. thank you for your suggestion. I do have a windows update coming through tonight, maybe that will help. I am so glad people like all of you visit the forums, makes me feel like I am not alone in this. My shops are a big part of my day, I hope they resolve it soon.
I know the engineers were doing something with sign-in because a few days ago I couldn't sign in without clicking the refresh/reload button and now that is fixed and I no longer have to do that.
Since you already dealt with Chat Support and have a ticket number you'll have to wait your turn. Or Monday you can request a callback.
In the meantime, you can subscribe to Etsy updates at etsystatus.com. They notify you via email as to sitewide "incidents" they are aware of, monitoring and working on.
Thank you to all who gave suggestions on how to contact ETSY. They have resolved my sign in issues with all of my currently active shops. Once they started corresponding with me, they were very helpful. My next question for them will be why did it happen, because I don't want to go through that again!
