Hello,

I’m reaching out to request information regarding a permanently suspended Etsy account that I previously owned.

My name is Monika Bajda, and the shop name was NoLimitsDesignPL

I received a message from Etsy’s Trust & Safety team informing me that the account was permanently suspended due to a violation of the Terms of Use. However, I believe there may have been a misunderstanding, and I would be very grateful for the opportunity to understand what led to this decision and whether it might be reconsidered.

I already submitted an appeal via the original email address but haven’t received any response. I am contacting you from this new email address hoping that I might be able to receive a follow-up or additional guidance on how to proceed.

I value the Etsy platform and would love to continue offering my digital embroidery patterns to customers. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do.

This is a member to member community discussion forum and members are not able to provide the assistance you are seeking. This is a matter between you and Etsy and all communications pertaining to this matter must be conducted accordingly. If you have files an appeal with Etsy, that process may take time and you need to address any communications with Etsy as per their instructions.

the problem is that i wrote an appeal to etsy and i have been waiting for a response for about a month now. Zero contact with the help center. It is impossible to contact them in any way , they do not write back to any messages. They shut down my several year old store with 40000 sales for no reason.... Here are also people from Etsy who moderate , maybe one of them can help me. I am grasping at the last resort ....

@MBembroiderydesign   Your shop if it is the one you are posting from is not suspended.  It is open.  

You have a lot to do to complete your shop.  It does not meet Etsy's requirements for shop completion.

Were you selling any designs of well known characters?  Eg. Disney, Stitch, Winnie the Pooh etc?

No, I always respect all the property rights of the authors, I had only my own designs, so for several years I sold them without problems and here suddenly - shock! they closed my store. The thing that affected me the most was that every month Etsy was making me a lot of money from commissions, etc. and when they closed my store they didn't even write back to my email and zero contact. On no other selling platform have I encountered such seller ignorance.... It is very sad

@MBembroiderydesign -- I agree with the above ... forum members cannot help you with this situation as it is a legal issue between you & Etsy ONLY.  Please understand ... whatever happened with your other shop (NoLimitsDesignPL) ... it is quite possible your current shop (MBembroiderydesign) may become affected too.  I do see some important information missing from your new shop, such as location.  Cute designs ... good luck!

Then I warn everyone , that in case of problems Etsy will not help you, I do not wish anyone to find himself in such a situation as I did. Overnight for no reason lose the source of your income, and be treated as if you never existed. Your stores can be shut down at any time without a reason just like mine so maybe you too should care that Etsy Support works because my problem at the moment is that it probably doesn't work at all since I'm waiting a month for a response.

@MBembroiderydesign  Unfortunately it can take a few months for Etsy to review appeals. 

Did anything else happen before the suspension? E.g. issues with identification or banking, did Etsy remove any of your items etc. We may be able to give you advice if we can figure out Etsy's reasoning here.

Nothing, I always followed all the rules. First I received an email from Etsy , in which they wrote that “ Etsy's Security team detected possible suspicious activity in your account. As a precaution, we've temporarily limited access until you create a new password.” but then it was impossible to change the password on the account and in a few hours I got an info that the account was closed. Waiting so long for a response from Etsy is shocking to me. On all other platforms you get a response within hours, not months! This is not normal. There should be a stigma against such an attitude towards the customer. I used to make a living from my Etsy account and it's like I lost my job for no reason....

Etsy security issues can take months to resolve; I have helped some people previously. I'd be contacting them daily and posting here daily with those details, so that they know how to fix it for you. 

Your OP was missing really important info. If you just post that you were closed and your appeal hasn't been heard yet, you are less likely to get the correct help.

@Amaradorn That is what I am thinking, or at least had an attempted hack. 

@MBembroiderydesign did you check the headings to make sure the email was really from Etsy?  Senders can fake the email address.

If this was the case, I am surprised you only have 1 listing in your current shop! 

By adding more listings, you at least have a better chance of making a living again.

I've already written several messages to Etsy and of course included the information that maybe my account was hacked, and the content of the message I received but it doesn't matter because I didn't get any response either way. I sent messages to them through platform x, instagram, etc. and there is no contact with them from any side.
Yes, the threat message I received from them, I am sensitive to such things and always check the origin of the message.
This account I set up recently hence only one listing, I set it up on a trial basis because I don't know if there is any point in adding 400 listings if they were to close my account again.... In the meantime I am finishing my own website to become completely independent of Etsy.
Maybe someone knows some other ideas on how to contact them?

@MBembroiderydesign again, it can take Etsy a couple of months to fix hacked accounts. 

Any messages or appeals to Etsy should be as short as possible - your first post here was too long and still didn't include the key information. Keep it to 2 sentences at most. 

For official Support tickets, open only one. There is no advantage to opening multiple tickets. Checking through Chat or a callback every day can help, though, citing the correct Support ticket or appeal number each time. 

Sending Etsy Messages through social media will not help. You need to publicly shame them on social media. 

You other viable option is getting a lawyer.
