Your shop has been frozen due to unverified taxpayer information

I started registering with Etsy Payments, when I entered all the data, an error appeared "Your shop has been frozen due to unverified taxpayer information
Update your legal and tax information with a valid Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number to sell on Etsy."

when I click "Edit" on the "Legal shop information form", I can only change the "Primary Taxpayer ID", but this data is not saved anyway. Etsy support can't help me, what should I do?

If it's not saving, are you using a mobile app? (the new or older one); I've never used the app.  If so, try using a browser, or you could try a computer.

yes, I have already written them many letters and called several times. I also sent screenshots and documents. they write the same standard answers and can't help me

My shop is shut down when I attempt to correct the information. I should have worried! Absolutely a lie! C'mon Etsy! This takes literally hours to correct. Meanwhile I can't ship or do anything.

This is an older thread; you might want to start your own where you will get a lot more help.

In the meantime, while you are waiting to get your problems resolved, you can ship your orders by getting your buyers' addresses from the confirmation emails, using a pen to address your packages and taking them to the PO to ship.

You'll pay retail, but it's better than getting dinged for numerous late shipped items.

If you are missing tax information, use the browser to edit the information.  Do not try to use the app.  Use a different browser if one does not work.

You need your EIN or SSN.  It can circle for a bit but it does update after several minutes.

You can ship as you have the information.  If you can't use Etsy labels, use Pirateship or another including click n ship as you have the address.

If you have an email from Etsy about the issue, reply back to the email that the problem is not fixed.

The op's issue is much different from what you would be experiencing.

I don't know how long you've been selling but there's no help to be given. I've been doing this for 10 years. Etsy is clueless on what is wrong. I put the original wrong information back in and now everything works! Of course! They do NOT have my tax information correct. I called my accountant, bank, the state, and the IRS. Verified my information. There's a problem at Etsy, as usual there's never an acknowledgment. All I get is "I'm sorry."

I've been through many such incidents with Etsy over the years. You have no idea. They are incapable of admitting any shortcomings whatsoever. With the amount of money I fork over to them every year you think they'd be better, that's all.
