I know the Etsy "your profit" tool only takes into account your Etsy fees but I'm not sure why this is coming up like this.
When I click on Your Profit this listing is showing "Your Costs" as $10.00 and profit as $2.22

I copied it to create another listing and that listing too is showing "Your Costs" as $10.00.
I'm not running any ads and it does not have free shipping and it is only priced at $14.00.
Is this maybe a glitch in the future matrix showing a tiered monthly shop pricing on each listing or am I missing something? I checked a few other listings and they do not show that.
I spotted checked some of my listings & all have nothing listed in the "costs" box. That's where you would add in any costs associated with making your item. Since you have a vintage item, I would think there would be no cost... so did an Etsy glitch add a price in your cost box or did you accidentally type something in? You can delete the $10 "cost" & the "estimated profit" should recalculate.
Never saw that. Mine shows "your profit"
Are your dollar amounts right? I can't account for $10.00 worth of fees on this listing.
@AnchorRoadVintage I don't even try to calculate it. Etsy has no idea what I spent on supplies or packaging. I just ignore it.
I get that they don’t know OUR costs. My question is why are they claiming there are $10 in fees on a $14 item and on a $12 item as well (the new listing I created when copied it).
Are using Etsy Ads?
No. I’m telling you, this is new. A flat $10 in fees is showing. Not ads, not the 6.5%.

Yes! You are correct. I changed that to zero and it gave me back what it says my profit is minus fees.
Thank you! I didn't realize that could be changed. I must have somehow changed that at some point.
Hmmm, must be a test. I am not seeing this in any of my listings (new or old).
I still have the Your Costs as a blank field and Estimated Fees at 12% (stupid mandatory ad fees without shipping, listing fees or credit card processing fees).
So, the drop-down is wrong as it's not calculating all of Etsy's fees, but I'm not seeing $10 in Your Costs, regardless of the item price.
Is Etsy now trying to estimate a Seller's costs?
RUDE!
