Wrong picture on Etsy link

Hello.  I've started using my Etsy Link.  It does go to my Etsy page when you click the link, but a picture comes up of two people that i dont know.  Im wondering what is happening.  Any help would be great.  Thanks, Shelley

I'm not following you. If it goes to your shop page, how is it giving you a picture of people (or anything for that matter) that you don't recognize?

I've taken a picture of what happens.  When I put the link, it comes up with with my designsbysew, but there is a picture of two people and one and her head is on someone's chest.  I sell gymnastic leotards, so I have no idea where this has come from.  When you click the link, it does come to my Etsy site.  My daughter even tried my etsy link and the same picture came up for her.

That's really REALLY weird.
I've just taken a peek at your Instagram... and the link opens to your etsy shop, not an image of two people... (both links actually... the etsy link AND your redirected custom URL)

Here's a thought. What happens if you do a google lens search on the image to maybe discover the source???

OP, I used my shop link for the first time today in a Facebook post and a similar thing happened. The link shows the face of an Oriental woman with my shop name, TinLizziAntiques. I opened the link and my shop's main page opened. What's going on?

Wasn't there a BIG issue a few years ago with etsy showing the wrong images on Facebook? Old lady here... so memory may not be totally accurate... but seems I remember something like that. With the amount of weird "testing" etsy has been doing lately... specially with images... it wouldn't surprise me if some wires got criss-crossed.

I just now saw an Etsy Monitoring Incident report regarding Search. Wondering if it could be this issue they are looking into.

Just got exactly the same issue. Asian looking lady with white dress, black earring with head on chest of another lady in black dress (no face visible).

From the sharing shop to facebook link. Usually it just shares my own profile pic when i'm sharing the shop link. This time i used the exact link in the share to save section rather than the normal url.

Same thing here now that I understand the issue. Went to my FB page to look at my Etsy page link, and rather than my header, it show the picture of the Asian woman others have mentioned. Bizarre to say the last. I certainly hope Etsy resolves this soon.

Thanks everyone.  I was wondering if I was the only one this was happening to.  I have read that Etsy is aware of the issue and they are looking into it.
