For those of you who are aware of this current problem with photos in search, I did a little experiment and it worked (at least for now?).
I edited a couple of listings that were showing a less than pretty photo of my item instead of the chosen thumbnail as follows....
1. Go to edit listing and delete the incorrect photo that's showing in search for that item.
2. If you want, reload the photo into the listing into the last position.
3. Publish listing, go back and refresh search page...and you should see it as it should be!
I know we don't have tons of time for all this, but if it's bugging you, this is a somewhat quick fix.
Hopefully it will "stick". I'll let you know!
Wow, unbelievable!! Nice to know that I was lied to by two different support people.
@Amaradorn I'm thinking it's either over or they let me out of it, because as of this evening, everything looks normal to me.
And while he sympathized, he stated that Etsy's testing is all for the better for sales site wide ...yeah, okay.
As a shop owner we should be able to choose which photo we want to be our first one which should show up in the searches.
I was searching for something today and saw the backside of my own photos showing up as the one in the search. great.
Is anyone else getting NO pictures in search when they search for their ship? I get pages and pages of "add to cart" buttons and ZERO images. It's a total mess.
@FoxandRavenJewelry sounds like the page hasn't loaded properly. Check your internet connection and then refresh the page or restart the app.
