I use the domestic/everywhere else pricing tool to give my US customers lower prices without the tax I have to charge Canadians.

Woke up today and my 'everywhere else' prices on a bunch of listings are randomly changed. Not all of them, just randomly 5-6 listings per page.

The prices are $1.01, $1.84, $1.95, $2.01, $2.34, $2.95, etc., MORE than what the price was when I went to bed. I didn't change them.

If you're using this tool/feature, check your prices!

Re: Woke up in the 'New Form' era and my prices have been changed

It doesn't matter what the listing page says though. My listing pages all say the right prices that I've set. But that is not what's being charged to international buyers at checkout, or what is being displayed to them (check in an  incognito browser which for me shows it in USD).  Up until yesterday if I checked and it was wrong I'd go fix it in the old form. What are we supposed to do now?

This is beyond frustrating. It says an item is listed at one price and it charges another. But only on some listings??  How does one even open a ticket?  I've been trying Etsy support daily for a week and there is no response on the chat.

You know what would solve this problem for Canadians?  Giving us back the tax tool. Yeeeesh.

What if every listing record has two Price fields - Domestic and Global. And what if the new listing form is reading from the Domestic field 100% of the time, even for users with Domestic & Global pricing turned on.
That is just a theory, but whatever it is, they have had a year to fix it.

Re: Woke up in the 'New Form' era and my prices have been changed

Until yesterday, when a price was displayed wrong or someone was charged the wrong price, it would show the right price in the new listing form, but in the old listing form it had reverted the international price to the same as domestic. Changing it in the old form solved the problem, at least for me.  I assumed that meant the system was reading the international prices on the old form.

Today?  No idea. No clue how to fix it. No clue how to report it because Etsy isn't responding when I try the chat.

It's also not charging the wrong price all of the time. Just sometimes, and it seems random.

Re: Woke up in the 'New Form' era and my prices have been changed

I recently lost €10 due to their stupid price editing fiasco. Has anyone been refunded / told they're gonna get a refund from Etsy if you've lost money thanks to their bug?

Sure, I could've cancelled the order as soon as I realised that it sold for the wrong price, refunded the buyer and relisted the item but I chose not to piss off my buyer for a mistake that I haven't made. Etsy owes me my €10, end of story, unacceptable mistake on their part, absolutely ridiculous!

Today Etsy support sent me a laughable message where they literally admit that they effed up however good news, they fixed the glitch, now it should work, that's it. LOL! I think I managed to leave a message somewhere in the help section, hopefully, not sure since contacting them is not easy... saying that I accept their apologies lol but I want back the €10 that I lost.

I've hated the new editing tool since day one for many reasons, but apparently it's even worse than I thought.

@PlayaSeaGlass yes, people who have lost money due to problems with the domestic pricing tool have been refunded, but you do need to be persistent. Do not take no for an answer.

Ok cool, it worked and I got a refund from Etsy. If anyone has lost money due to the glitch I recommend that you get in touch with Etsy support and send them a link to the messed up listing, they'll refund you.
