Why can't I move a message to Spam?

I wanted to move a buyer scammer to my Spam folder but I can't figure out how. 

I check-marked the message and clicked Spam on the side bar but it doesn't move the message. It remains in my Inbox. 

Second, chat told me I can click on the buyer's profile and report her but I don't have that feature. Does anybody else?

The Left Hand Side Bar is the Inbox "Folder" Spam is moved to. You need to check the box to the left of the individual Message and then go to "Report" on the bar at the top of the Messages Page and mark as "Spam" there. Then the Message will move to the Folder on the Left-Hand Side-Bar

Use a browser on a laptop or desktop. If one browser won't work, try a different one. You can't move to Spam on the Etsy Seller app.

You check the box and then click ''report'' at the top of the page where it says 'Trash - Mark Unread - Mark Read - Report - Archive'.

No idea why chat told you to report them via their profile page.  (Well,  actually I do have an idea but...)  You can block them on that page, but all that does is prevent them from seeing the items and shops that you favorited.

@CarpetCollectionAU  @TheVintagePineapple Ok, got it. Thank you. I reported. The buyer requested her order be shipped to Montana and when I mentioned the address was unverified, she requested it be shipped to Colorado.
