Hello,
I'm Sofia.
I have a notice that badges were permanently removed because I received a final policy violation warning.
I know nothing about how that hapened. I believe that I've never violated any policy.
How can I find out what is the problem? Can this change?
Thank you for your time,
Best regards, Sofia
Check in your spam/junk mail to see if there is an email from Etsy in there. Did you have any items deactivated by Etsy? If you think it is an error you will have to send an email to Etsy. Remember how glitchy Etsy is so it might even be a mistake!!
@Thepatternsroom - I believe there was another thread yesterday evening on the same notice from Etsy. This could be a glitch.
As JJewellerySuppliesUK stated, check your email folders for any messages from Etsy. If there are no emails/notifications from Etsy on deactivated items, etc. definitely contact Etsy.
While for the moment the Star means little, you never know what the future will bring. More important - glitches like this can lead to the Shop suddenly having a reserve placed on their Payment Account, etc.
I had the same thing happen to me - I accidentally must have violated a rule by using a word "Superman" I think, they deactivated my listing, and I was fine with that. I thought that was the end of it. I didn't realize I had to take any other steps. But now my badges are permanently removed. I've been star seller for every month and this is really upsetting. I asked what should I have done and they won't answer. Customer service really wasn't any help at all. Just canned responses.
You were told in another thread a week or two ago that you will have problems with all of your infringing listings.
Seems you didn't pay any attention to that info.
And no, they won't answer you anymore, other than perhaps place a payment reserve on your shop or close it down altogether.
If you did not communicate with the holder of the trademark and get their okay to have the item relisted without the trademark word then Etsy has no idea if you resolved the issue or not.
Once issues are not resolved or other issues happen Etsy can remove the badge based on their article on the subject.
@AMEvangelista The next step is permanently closing your store. I would get rid of all the Johnny Depp (et al), Disney, Dr Seuss, Taylor Swift, Gilmore Girls, Handmaid's Tale... need I go on. You are going to "accidentally" get your store shut down.
Yep, @AMEvangelista , you are "accidentally" using a lot of names (photos) that can quickly (not so accidentally) close down a shop.
Might want to clean house (so to speak).
Thank you!!
@Thepatternsroom Look for an email. Since your items are clothing they don't fall under copyright so you can counter claim if that is what the takedown was for, Now if the patterns were written by someone else and you used them as a basis for your patterns then that's a different issue.
Look for an email.
If you had no deactivated patterns and nothing else, then ask Etsy what do they see on their end. They do make mistakes.
You can't use the brand name CHANEL to sell your patterns. Chanel are very active on Etsy and will file trademark infringement notices for any use of their name, even in photos.
I see listings where you are using "Chanel" - that's trademark infringement.
Have you contacted Etsy to remedy this? Have you heard back from them?? I have the same issue and reached out to them but have not heard anything back in over 2 weeks.
When I first saw the alarming notice, I put down my energy for everything Etsy and stopped working so hard to make my shop work for them. I gave up after all this micro management that has made shops stress out so much. Now I really want to know what policy they think I've violated. Still haven't heard anything and I'm about to close shop.
probably TM? What was removed? You can't say Tory Burch inspired. Does TB even produce fabric? Counterfeit fabric can get you in trouble. Also Disney.
Nothing was removed from my shop. ?so I'm still trying to figure it out.
