We removed listings that don’t follow our policies
Opened my dashboard today to see this:
We removed listings that don’t follow our policies
when I click on "show deactivated listings" there are no Etsy deactivated listings. and no email. Did anyone else get this today?

What shows up in your "Inactive" section? Do you see the red letters "Deactivated by Etsy" under a listing title?

People have mentioned this before, apparently a known bug, whatever that means.

@JudyStalus a known bug is something Etsy knows about but doesn't appear to be doing anything to fix (because they caused it and don't know how to fix it ... or because they caused it and don't consider it a bug).

AnniebelloPaper I know it's what it means in theory, just not what it actually means...in my experience Etsy rarely fixes bugs...I think its too boring for their programmers who prefer designing new ways to annoy sellers.

Re: We removed listings that don’t follow our policies
I believe if it was "removed" by Etsy, I think it means they completely deleted it so it would not show up in your deactivated listings either is my guess as it I think it would have read "We deactivated your listing".

there a button next to the prompt that says "see inactive listings" so I don't think so

@GFTWoodcraft That is odd. I would contact support and do chat instead of email.

Re: We removed listings that don’t follow our policies
I just read in another thread the same happened to another shop and then they stated during other commenting on the thread, they seller stated it "just popped back up".
So maybe a glitch and hopefully yours will "pop" back up also.
Nice shop by the way!

I mean there nothing inactive to pop back up? my issue is the policy violation. i contacted etsy, I don't want any "strikes" for etsy errors.

Re: We removed listings that don’t follow our policies
I asked on a similar thread of the exact issue you just mentioned about if a shop would be penalized for an error on Etsy's part where a listing was deactivate and the advise given was that no, a shop would not be penalized for that. Hopefully in your case, that applies.
Let us know how things go. Best of luck.

Re: We removed listings that don’t follow our policies
@GFTWoodcraft The other thread stated that their deactivated listing disappeared from their inactive listings as well and then popped back up as active.

Re: We removed listings that don’t follow our policies
Were you selling anything made with walnut wood? I've recently read that wood is on the prohibited list. I hope your listings get reinstated ... you have such a nice shop ... wishing you best of luck!

Re: We removed listings that don’t follow our policies
Fully Handmade Shop here: I have the exact same situation that began on July 18. I contacted Etsy and they are going to email me with a specialist within 10 days they say. It has been exactly 7 days and the message that appeared on the dashboard has disappeared and other notification remains within the listings page at the top. I have not heard from anyone at this point.

I think Etsy means 10 "business" days.

@HappyNewsCrafts Hi, This is the first time I've heard of this Announcement being in the Dashboard. Personally, I've not seen it. Hope others jump in.

Re: We removed listings that don’t follow our policies
@HappyNewsCrafts Sorry, I'm just now seeing your post. No, I don't have this problem. I've never seen that in my Dashboard. However, it seems others in this Thread stated it was a glitch. (I don't know if this makes any difference, but I'm using a desktop computer, Chrome).

Re: We removed listings that don’t follow our policies
I had this exact issue a couple of weeks ago .. I lost my star seller for over a week. Nothing in deactivated so I still don’t know what I did wrong .. then much later reinstated. Over 8 emails and no response. It’s so hard and worrying when you don’t know what you have done wrong ( I have 6000 listings)

Re: We removed listings that don’t follow our policies
Has anyone got an update on this?
I've got the same banner. I've had listings wrongly deactivated before (and always had an apology and reactivation) so I know where to look for deactivated listings but there is nothing and I can't see any missing.
