WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE LISTING FORMS??

First the form insists I enter a digital file for a physical item. I had to start over. 

Second, it won't let me change the material type. Started over again.

Third, it completely wiped out everything I had input when I tried to change a photo!

One more time and I'm done for today.

When they first introduced the new system, I read somewhere I don't remember now that the new form was something like 3.5 seconds faster so Etsy decided to switch over.  Ignore the ridiculousness of this statistic, what difference does 3.5 seconds make in the when few sellers do a large number of listings at one time and can leave the listing page open for minutes to hours  before they get back to it.  I really wish Etsy would stop with this nonsense, state that they are changing to the new form because they want to or have reasons they aren't going to reveal and stop trying to save me 3.5 seconds.

When does the "new" (which has been around for several months now) going to go in effect?

Is it too much to hope and pray that Etsy sees it as a bad move (as it does not improve - it just impedes) and quietly lets it die a natural fade-away death?

Etsy has never let a bad idea fade away unless it has been proven to be illegal or open them up to liability in some country or some way.  I wouldn't hope or pray that they see the errors of their ways or even that it needs to be fixed.  Improvement is never going to happen.

I occasionally have had this happen to me too. The only workaround I found was to 'Save As Draft' after EVERY SINGLE CHANGE.

It would 'save' the new info, then I would reopen the draft listing, change one thing (like materials or tags), and then 'Save As Draft' again.

Repeat this process until all the info is updated, one section at a time.

I deleted/uploaded all 10 photos in one go as my last edit and 'Save As Draft' a final time once they were all uploaded. Then, I opened the draft and listed it without changing anything.

I do not like the new listing form either so I when I want to do a listing, I just copy one of my old ones and then change the info and photos.

I was using the old one last night.  Desktop/MS Edge. It was fine. The thumbnail tool was its usual brokeass self...but if it didn't stick I could go back in edit and it would. I got one listing where the pix just circled then an oops error message. Otherwise OK. I hate to say try Edge, but try Edge. I have the least issues on that. Chrome is  OK sometimes and others puts me in a Captcha loop when I  try to sign in.

I'd say they might be working on it but on a weekend I doubt it. I will be so pissed when they get rid of the old lister. The new one is crap.
