I opened a classic sewing shop aproximately a year ago. Sewing is a hobby for me, not necessarily a financial one, but I like making things. I have sold a few items with no issues then suddenly I get an email stating my account has been permanenly suspended. I had already mailed out 2 orders and Etsy refunded their money. So now I am out the product, money and shipping costs. No reason given. I filed an appeal and I realize I will have to wait for a response, but how frustrating. I wish they would give a reason and if it is a correctable problem allow us the opportunity to do that. I do have another shop, but it is completely different (lavender products). Any suggestions from those who have gone through this? Thanks
What were you selling? Were you selling anything using trademarked fabrics?
No TM'd fabrics, looks like it was mostly flowers or solid colors.
First, I don't know if the disclosure of your second shop was enough to satisfy their requirements, but maybe it was since I was able to find it. Not sure if your disclosure of this shop was enough in that one, because I can only see the front page in the cached version.
You were selling kids clothes, and there are a lot of restrictions with kids clothes. Do you know for sure you were following all rules around them? Here is the page with details to check over, https://www.etsy.com/legal/policy/childrens-clothing-and-products/239344787532
