First the form insists I enter a digital file for a physical item. I had to start over.
Second, it won't let me change the material type. Started over again.
Third, it completely wiped out everything I had input when I tried to change a photo!
One more time and I'm done for today.

Use the old listing form

I've not used the new listing form since it came out. Have always switched to the old one. I can't see using something which is not more efficient, and takes more clicks to perform simple tasks (the old one is more streamlined). Etsy may be fiddling around with the new form. Also, I don't know if you are using thee app; I use a desktop computer.

I WAS using the old listing form on a desktop! I see no reason to strain my eyes on a tiny cell phone screen. The new form is still a mess and I have not even bothered with it!
@MYOLDVINTAGESTUFFUS That is odd, something must be going on. (I haven't listed anything lately; my Season is finished. So I don't have anything to go by).
I don't understand this new listing process. I need help, it used to be so straight forward, now it's fiddly. Using a desktop computer, with the old listing entry form. I get to shipping, only the options of Free and Fixed are available, why make us choose? In that box I click edit, it takes me to separate screen to input size and weight, does this mean I have to choose from the choices and enter the numbers in the fixed box? Does it update by region? Below that, there's a box telling me to enter size and weight but nothing is clickable. When items are different a profile is another labor intensive job.
@styleagency I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to your questions about the new listing form. I've not used it (I'm trying to avoid it). Are you able to switch to the old listing form? It's so much easier.
As I said in my reply, I am using the OLD listing form, they messed with the shipping there as well.
@styleagency I wanted to see what my listings said, as if I were to edit them. I just clicked into one of them, (from the Listings Page, desktop computer, Chrome). I also switched to the old listing form.

(From Drop Down Menu, I selected): I'll enter Fixed Prices manually

(From Drop Down Menu, I selected): USPS Priority

There are 2 boxes, Shipping Cost for: One item and a box for Additional Item.
So you are trying to see what I see?
On 2 different computers, I use Safari and Firefox, not Chrome.
In my experience, one utility company and a bank have refused Safari as a browser, could this be an issue?
I think I'm wasting your time, it is a conundrum with no communication from Etsy itself. If they spelled it out and reverted to what was working for everyone this would be moot....
Shall I just offer free shipping and up my prices until this is solved?

@styleagency Yes, I'm trying to see if anything has changed on the listing form on my end, so I went into one of my listings as if I were trying to edit it.
You're not wasting my time. I do feel bad that I can't help you. As far as offering Free Shipping and upping your prices, personally I wouldn't. Only because I've never offered Free Shipping; I've always had a separate price for shipping. But if it's something you wish to do, it's a personal choice and I don't want to tell you not to.

I haven't seen this problem yet but I always copy an existing listing and just edit it. I suppose it helps that most of my listings have the same generic text and I just change the photos, title, description and tags.
Same here, I either Renew Sold, Edit a listing or Copy, Edit. And always use the old listing form.
sigh. That's what I was doing! Finally gave up and used a different listing to copy and it finally worked.
I've been listing new items today using the new form without any problems - maybe try the new one?
The new one does not have some of the things I need. They keep saying "we're gonna " but it hasn't happened yet. Look at other responses where other sellers also say they only use the old form.
@MYOLDVINTAGESTUFFUS yes I know. I use the old form for alt text but the new form is fine for me for everything else. I just thought I'd suggest it as a temporary workaround.
It happend very often. With the new and with the old listing Formular. With the app and with the Browser. My only explanation is that they are working currently on it. Maybe. At MOment i just changed nothing because of that terrible Conditions.
My only Tip ( which is really not the best) Change the Things you want to change and keep the side opened for over 20 minutes, ok i know that sounds so silly, but this was the only Way my listings get saved.
I've had occasional glitches and expect those. This was ridiculous.

The Problem with copy your Listing is that Etsy thinks its really a new one. Better dont do that with your bestsellers
Well it IS a new one. I've done this hundreds of times with no problems. That has nothing to do with why it would ask me for a digital download for a piece of jewelry!
Good grief, there is no end to the mucking up they are doing to us as we try to do a listing. I'm sorry you had to waste so much time on it MYOLDVINTAGESTUFFUS.
