Help!!!! I am setting up a new Etsy shop. My verified ID had my name with an initial for my middle name, my SSN card has my full name on it. Etsy is sending me in a loop asking me to change the name on the SSN section to the same as on the card, but when I do it I get an email saying the name chnage has been cancelled and to go change the name. How can I change the name if you won't let me?

I really need to talk to a human not a BOT!

The name on your SSN must match what the IRS has.

Thank you for your comment and trying to help, but that is the problem, sadly. I used my work permit as my government ID and that has my name with an initial for my middle name and that is what Etsy has me down as. But my SSN card has my first middle and surname in full. I think that has comfused the BOT! I got an email from Etsy saying go in and change the name which I did then a day later get another email saying "Although we have cancelled this Name Change request, we require you to edit the legal name on your account to match the ID you have on file." So I go and do what I am asked and I get the same email. It's all a bit mad really!!
