Variations photos vanishing, randomly and when updating quantities etc

My variation photos keep unlinking, or disappearing.  It happens randomly, and also when I go in and change a quantity or price for that variation.

Completely annoying!  Can we please get this fixed, its been a known issue for a while.

I am having the same issue. This time however its only forgetting some of my photos, I have earring variations for hooks, hoops and clip-ons, and the hoop earring photos are still there but the other two are gone. On every single listing. 

I speak to customer service and they tell me to clear my cache which obviously has no effect, something is breaking Etsy's end.
