Hi everyone,
I’m posting here because I’m completely lost (and honestly desperate) with Etsy. My account has been in vacation mode for 15 days, supposedly to verify my legal information. I understand that this is a standard process, but nothing has moved since then!
I’ve uploaded the requested documents (business details, etc.) twice, yet my dashboard still shows "Pending Verification." There’s a red banner saying Etsy couldn’t verify my information, but I have no idea when that message appeared. In the "Finance" section, it’s stuck on "Pending Verification," and there’s absolutely no explanation of what the issue might be.
What’s even more frustrating is that Etsy hasn’t contacted me at all. I’ve sent an email directly to support and also submitted a message through their contact form on the website, but I’ve received no response. I thought this would be resolved quickly, but now it’s dragging on, and I’m really running out of patience.
I was so excited to make my first sale right before this suspension, and now my account is completely blocked without any clear solution.
Has anyone here experienced this before?
How long did it take to get your account reactivated?
Any tips on how to speed up the process or contact someone at Etsy who can actually help?
Thank you in advance for your advice
Kata
@Kataklast: This forum is full of similar reports to yours. Etsy only does a preliminary check until your first sale, then does the full verification it is required by law to conduct. You are hiding your shop's location so it is hard to be more specific but as pointed out the automated verification systems seem to be very picky : 'John E. Smith' is not the same as 'John E Smith', etc.
If you received a response to your message via the contact form, be sure to reply with 'I Still Need Help' to let them you know the issue is not resolved.

Hi Kata
I had difficulty in my well established (Ltd company) being validated...it was so frustrating and understand your frustration too!
It turned out the delay in my verification was a very slight difference in the address on one document vs another. Really tiny but seemed to be enough to delay everything.
I was only put onto Vacation mode for a couple of days thankfully - but may be worth cross checking every aspect matches on the verification documents you upload against what your account information says.
Just a thought :-))
@Kataklast I would use my time researching whether or not what I am attempting to sell is allowable on Etsy.
I suspect that might be the problem.
