The Canary Islands are not part of Community territory for the purposes of VAT (Article 6 of VAT Directive).

@Byalmaklub: What situation are you in? You will need to provide some details about what you need help with.
I am located in the Canary Islands, Spain.
Etsy is asking for VAT ID but The Canary Islands are not part of Community territory for the purposes of VAT (Article 6 of VAT Directive)
you still have to comply with DAC7
which means you have to enter a tax ID
it's an EU-wide thing
as below, does entering one of the other numbers work?
your TIN should work?
....
More info from Etsy on the EU DAC7 requirement
Spain signed up to DAC7
Etsy will want a tax number from you - not sure how it works for Spain and Canary islands, whether it has to be a VAT number, or another tax ID such as NIE or DNI
yes i got my DNI, but still has not been fixed. Waiting to here from Etsy. Thanks for you help though;)
The DNI does not go in the VAT number field
it goes in "additional taxpayer ID" field, you click the down arrow, and choose" Spain DNI"
Try putting your NIF number in
yes, I have added it but the system is still asking me for the VAT ID:(
Same situation here....etsy support don't understand the difference Canary islands/spain
