Hello,

I hope this message finds you well. My Etsy account was unexpectedly suspended on August 26th, but after contacting support, I was informed that this was a bot error. My account was restored, and I received an apology for the inconvenience.

However, on September 4th, I received another email from Etsy stating that my store had been placed on vacation mode. Since then, I have sent numerous messages but have not received any response.

I have been an Etsy seller since 2017, with over 17,520 sales and 3,114 positive reviews. I sell handmade carpets, leather goods, and straw baskets, and my business is currently at a standstill, affecting not only myself but also the artisans who work with me.

I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter as soon as possible. This ongoing issue is significantly impacting my livelihood and my team.

So after a week of Etsy removing listings daily. It's finally happened. 

They have now suspended my account. This is after calling everyday asking for help. Over 11 thousand sales amazing reviews. Here I am.

Sending endless messages asking for help and explanation. I knew this would happen. This is my only source or income and it has floored me.

I've had no contact from Etsy no explanation or anything. Years of hard work down the drain. I hate this Company

Unfortunately, there have been many reports of long term shops being closed down for breaching the new Creativity Standards.

Perhaps @FabioMcMustache can forward your request to the appropriate team.

 

In the meantime, set up your own website or find another platform to sell on in the meantime.

But are they handmade by you? Or do you use staff or production partners to make them.  If you have staff they must be listed in your shop section as helpers, if you use a Production partner they must be listed as such.  If none of the above apply, and the same items appear for sale on other websites, Etsy may believe you are simply buying in stock and selling it on.  In other words reselling, which is not allowed here.  Anything you sell here must be handmade by you, or designed by you and made with the assistance of your listed shop helpers, or a listed Production Partner.  Otherwise they must be craft or party supplies,or vintage items over 20 years old. 

If your items are found by Etsy on other sites with the same photos you use, it is possible your pics have been stolen and used without your knowledge.  You must find them on those sites and lodge paperwork to get the stolen images removed.  Then provide Etsy with evidence that you have done so, and the listings may be reinstated.  Etsy's bot removals are fallible, like random breath testing.  The cops pull over as much passing traffic as they can in order to catch the few who are doing the wrong thing.  Show Etsy proof they got it wrong and they may correct the issue, at least until the bots pull you over again.  Fresh photos might help avoid that, at least for a while.

@LeonardoMarrakesh: The creativity standards encompass much much more than just if something is handmade (by you).

The new rules also include use of mock ups, listing of shop members and production partners, that if your design is being made by someone else it is made exclusively for you, etc etc etc. so a shop cannot assume that the 'reason' is because Etsy thinks it is not designed and / or made by you although that is probably still a major reason.

Yes, I'm aware of that, I've modified all my listings and added production partners, team and everything for a while now, even the product images, I'm the one who shoots the products.

Etsy is letting many, many of us down right now. I think it's more important now than ever to claim our own domain "land" and take control of our own products, sales, traffic, etc. Sending blessings to you @LeonardoMarrakesh and praying that all of us who are affected by this unjust AI Etsy bot cleanse come out on the other side more sovereign and stronger than ever!
