Uploading Photos on new app

Since we're being forced to use the new app soon, I'm trying to get used to uploading on it. But it won't upload photos from my phone. It'll only accept a photo if I take it with the camera at the time of listing. This isn't going to work for me. I don't take my photos at the time of listing, I take them ahead of time. 

Is anyone else having this issue or knows of a way to fix it?

Another "Update" for the Seller app but uploading pictures still doesn't work.

with the new app I am unable to send a photo (not even one) with a message. It fails everytime time.

Even the mobile browser version isn't letting me upload photos today. Honestly I give up!!!

This whole so called Etsy "improvement" thing has me in tears.

Yes, it’s never uploaded mine, and says to report it to Etsy and I can’t even do that!!! What on earth? I could never do photos at the time I list. Most of my pics are taken outside anyway!

I don't use it anymore , even the Report option in the main menu of the app cant upload a screenshot to report the bug, this is going on for month now and Etsy pushed Updates with new additions but can't seem to fix the broken part of the app

Another Update to Vers. 1.48.0  (02.Aug.23)

No change, if you are lucky you can upload 1 picture with the % going up over 100% .

Multi Upload doesn't work at all & with a second try on Draft, New or old listing no pictures will Upload

I can't believe that I found this forum today but these issues have been reported for months and nothing has changed.  It's also really frustrating when I do get photos to 'seemingly' update and then I spend time on other edits, such as lengthy descriptions, price, tag words, etc.... only to have all my work lost because "OOPS, there seems to be trouble with saving my listing" .  Losing lots of sales on items I can't list.  ETSY should be offering sellers lower transaction fees/commissions until THEIR problems are fixed.

I was feeling super frustrated, but someone on the thread mentioned posting from the internet (on your phone).  I tried it this weekend and I actually like it better than the app.  Worked great in the meantime... and maybe even once the app is fixed.

I’ve tried this too but it’s also been pretty glitchy for me too. Even when I use my laptop. It’s so frustrating!

I am only able to upload from my phone by selecting and adding one photo at a time to add. then select another - but it still has problems even with this solution. The new App is terrible in every way. At this point I would happily revert back to the old App which worked perfectly, or move to another marketplace altogether. Fees went up to pay for tech that does not work!

There's no solution, yet, that I'm aware of.  It's been a long time.  I'm just not listing much.

I have finally been able to get my pictures to load , but doesn’t make any difference because my sales have been zero for the last three or four months and I end up owing Etsy.

Got a new phone with a nice camera and was hoping to update pics on my listings. The images are not draggable. Disappointed the app doesn't work.

@KarinLorenc: Based on posts in this forum, many sellers find using their mobile browser instead of the app provides them with a more pleasant and efficient experience.

cannot upload ANY photos on my phone OR on my computer. Thus, I can't list or answer questions that need more photos.

Yes same here , spoke to etsy support and they said to use browser instead of app but makes no difference, still can't upload any photos to listings or messages. Not sure why as was working for me up to this week.

I had the same problem , but ignore the orange triangles - and keep going - it works even though it says it doesn’t- I have an iPhone

I don’t even get triangles… it loads and then when I go to save it there’s an error message and nothing saves.

Still having issues. This is exceedingly frustrating. The old app uploaded photos so quickly and easily. One of the reasons I was so happy I went with Etsy. 

Investigating other selling options.

I am being told with a red triangle that my iPhone pics aren’t big enough. They have to be 2000 pixels. If that’s true, I will have to purchase Photoshop & this will add so much more time to the process of listing. This is not okay for me.

@Prairiemere: "They have to be 2000 pixels." They do not HAVE to be 2000 pixels, that is just Etsy's warning of their suggestion. If you are comfortable with PhotoShop there are free alternatives such as GIMP.
