Uploading Photos on new app

Since we're being forced to use the new app soon, I'm trying to get used to uploading on it. But it won't upload photos from my phone. It'll only accept a photo if I take it with the camera at the time of listing. This isn't going to work for me. I don't take my photos at the time of listing, I take them ahead of time. 

Is anyone else having this issue or knows of a way to fix it?

I have been having this issue since opening my shop and putting up listings. I cannot put up the images I want, and find it ridiculous that I am paying for a site that is not working. I would like an agent to contact me.

@TuftStuff99: "I would like an agent to contact me." Did Etsy Support or the Help Pages send you here? This is a seller peer to peer forum, and should not be considered a way to contact Etsy, if that is your hope (although Etsy does sometimes read and reply to posts). You will need to reach out to Etsy Support directly.

This is also happening to me. This is absurd. How can Etsy justify taking such a large portion of our sales when we can’t do even the basics of communication with customers through the app we”re FORCED to use?

This is happening to me on a desktop. I have always taken all my photos in a photo shoot wuing an SLR camera, then formatted them, then created the listings and added all the photos. And it worked fine...until now.

I started trying to upload photos for a new listing at 10:30. It's now 12:30 and the 6 images are still NOT DONE. And the only option is to abandon (loosing all the ones that have finally loaded), or continue to wait. 

The old app worked perfectly. This new one is horrible. Very, very, very bad user experience. Like horrible.

If they can't fix this, it might finally drive me to a new platform. I don't have time for this.

Has this been fixed?  I am not able to upload and it tells me "If it keeps happening, contact Etsy Support"  Therefore, I am contacting you to see what can be done if it hasn't already.  Please help!!

Yes it’s happening with me too, not very encouraging, I was told to download the newest version of the app! I tried that too, although I already had the latest version and that didn’t work either.

I am still having this issue as well. I cannot upload any photos via the new app. This is not useful for running my business

My photos are also not uploading in the new app. I can't even get a photo taken via the app to load.

This is ridiculous. I guess Etsy never heard the expression.....If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Why all these stupid changes when they don't work. I can load pictures either from my phone.  I need the money from my shop so I had to start selling on Ebay and I just signed up with Mericari. I am guessing others will be doing the same. Its been almost 2 months since I can't load pictures. What is wrong with them????

The new app update still has multiple problems. Photos can't send photos or sideways.

Please repair these simple issues ASAP, as are paying clients aren't happy with the outcome!

Any updates on this? This has been months and since my app forced me to update I can't load pics in messages or anywhere else unless taken in the moment. 

It's been too long for seller's who are paying a higher % from years prior and now have buggie apps we are forced to use. Not to mention now competing with things not handmade, not art supplies or vintage. I compete with mass production junk as a maker. This is turning into Ebay or a flea market. Greed is going to be what loses Etsy people who've been here when no one knew what Etsy was.

I have the latest version of the app and can not attach photos to the message. As soon as you pick a photo from gallery, app crashes.(iOS)

It is Jan. 2024 and I am unable to take photos in the new Blue Etsy app.  This means I can't sell my items.  What gives?
