Update your info to keep using Google Analytics

I don't know how to make this work. I logged into my Google analytics account, watched the video, did everything I thought should be done and Google gave me notice I finished the process. Then I entered the number in my Etsy account and Etsy told me that is no good. I modified the input again and again to the same conclusion. Etsy keeps telling me the number Google gave me is no good. I waited until tomorrow then again tomorrow. No matter how many times I try to complete (save) the update Etsy keeps telling me it is no good. Days and days have passed. I don't understand how to fix this. Is there a simple process? Google make EVERYTHING complicated regarding the change over and Etsy is in collusion with this process (IMO). What do we do?

I'm not familiar with this, but remember seeing a recent Thread.  It looks like Seller SugarTaffySoap has a solution.  Hope this is helpful.

Over and over and over and again and again and again hours of my time and reading this and other descriptions continue to fail Etsy's refusal to acknowledge the details Google gave me for G4 status. Thank you for your link but even that had some details absent from my ability to view what was changed or does not exist. Login of Google did not match some of the linked details of your link (not your fault) but thank you for trying. I appreciate your support.

I'm not sure the exact steps I used but all I did was follow the instructions Google had and then copied and pasted the code into the spot needed on Etsy.  I then clicked save.  

I already had an account.  I applied for G4 and was given the ID.  I went in later to change the name of my shop as it had the old name.  I'm sorry I can't be of more help.  It just seemed easy to me or maybe I had done the hard part earlier weeks ago.

I do not use an "App" I use an updated Windows 11 PC with the most currant browser update and powerful anti virus software. What do you use?

@SurnamePro: All of our exposed computers are running some flavor of Linux with Firefox, Chromium, and Brave browsers. Our one Windows machine is very heavily firewalled. But I do not think that if you are trying via a browser it matters which OS or browser.

What I find odd in reading some of these posts is that when we set up our GA4 property the Measurement ID already included the "G-" and we were seeing data within 15 minutes of updating the Etsy analytics page.

@SurnamePro  Can you tell me exactly how it is worded?  Does it say "no good" ?  The number entered on your Etsy shop is G- (dash) and then 9 numbers. G-xxxxxxxxx

I just deleted my old registration number, I find it useless anyway, it's limited as Etsy is not our own website.
