I needed to move a few orders that were due out today, I was hoping to have them completed and shipped on time today but with a stalled front, rain and humidity, that just isn't possible, things just aren't drying well enough to safely pack them. I updated the date to next Friday, just in case, (since we are expecting rain thru Wednesday, I hope not) would rather ship earlier than that if the weather cooperates but somehow the date didn't update to 9/23/2022 it stayed on today's date. Now I am going to have a overdue order which isn't true if the date would have updated correctly. Of course there is no one to call to fix this, there is no help from Etsy at all. So frustrating when you are trying to do the right thing and there is no one to help. Can anyone suggest anything?
Thought this might be a helpful update to this thread:
As of January 2023, I was able to change the shipping date of an item the day it was due to ship, to the following day (due to MLK USPS holiday). So, yes, you can now change the ship date the day it is due.
I'm pretty sure you can't change the shipping date on the day it's due to ship.
Yes - it needs to be done before the actual due date arrives.

This glitch happens occasionally, and you can't see it until the update is done. It cannot be changed. Sorry to hear it happened to you -- I've been there.
All you can do at this point is explain it to the customers. Mine have been very understanding.
