Update: Removed listing for Creativity policies violation by error. Another auto copy&paste reply

My previous post was closed by Etsy rep with the promise of escalation to help but today I have received another copy&paste of the same email as before, telling me to read Creativity policies again. First email sounded like it was actually from a human rep asking listing detail and date but after I replied, their email was almost identical to the first email about removal telling me to read policies again, which the listing in question does not violate at all.

Live chat rep admitted that the reason of deletion was that their 'search' found a duplicate image of mine in one of other 'platforms'. A lot of us had images stolen by so many online resellers and copycats.

I've always designed everything and made everything and Etsy telling me to read the policies my listings don't violate again and again is so insulting. We are not even given a real person to discuss this with.

Etsy has become more strict and is trying to ensure its site has unique items, and they have unleashed the bots. Sorry you got caught up.

If your images have been stolen it's your responsibility as the IP owner to pursue your rights or lose them.

Before you appeal to Etsy again you need to have those other photos taken down.

Alternately, retake your photos and relist.

at least etsy is now telling sellers that the items have been removed.

because the photos are found somewhere else.

so you need to file the takedown notices.

and let etsy know that you did that... you can include a copy of the takedown notices in your appeal.

i had no idea this page existed until i saw @cindylouwho2 post it.

@nineteen27 @nineteen27    Upon google image search, only things that came up was on someone's Twitter (reshare of this image) and another site which, when I click, image is not there anymore. Not much I can do to remove these two search results unfortunately.. 
They should at least give us the detail of what they've found and we will know what we could possibly do.

@PlatypusDream ~ that's easier said than done. Etsy won't tell you where they've found your images, and with mine I couldn't find the ones they took down, although I did find others. It's all very well getting them removed, but then another site will steal them, or they'll steal new ones you put up. We shouldn't have to be constantly worrying about having our pictures stolen and then trying frantically to get them re-listed and being sent round in circles by Etsy.

I got the same crappy form letter response multiple times to my deactivated item.  There are also about 4 form letters where cs fills in your data.  I also handcraft everything I sell with raw materials and hand tools and mine is just mobile sculptures that can't be recreated by anyone without specific skills and knowledge.  I've had two items deactivated in the past 45 days and an apology letter and reinstatement for one.  I gave up with the other.  I have only received deactivation after an item is sold so it seems that the AI Bot image matching is only happening after a sale happens.  They don't cancel the sale which I find funny as if my item doesn't meet your standards then surely the sale should be canceled too.  I do sell on other platforms... Amazon Handmade, my own website, go imagine, and other online gallery venues.  I keep asking Etsy to keep Etsy human when reviewing my request for reinstatement.  They just send another form letter without looking.  They have even bounced my review requests to a "try again" status.  So frustrating.

@SkysetterMobileArt  That's so frustrating! but I think this is actually the 1st case I've heard of listing being reinstated so that's at least one win..Thanks for sharing.

@SkysetterMobileArt Don't give up on the other one, because it counts against you. Too many and Etsy will close your shop.
