I am extremely disappointed and frustrated to find that my shop has been abruptly put into vacation mode without any valid explanation. I have always adhered to Etsy's rules and regulations, maintained a stellar track record, and earned the Star Seller badge due to my unwavering commitment to excellent customer service. All my reviews are five stars, and I have diligently followed every policy set by Etsy.
Now, despite my consistent compliance and ongoing success, my shop has been put into vacation mode for "verification." I am already an active seller, with consistent transactions and a well-established reputation. Why is this sudden re-verification required, and why was I not informed in advance?
This situation is not only affecting my business but also damaging the trust I have placed in Etsy as a platform. I expect this issue to be resolved promptly and my shop to be reinstated without delay. I request clear communication and transparency regarding this matter, as this sudden disruption is highly unprofessional and unacceptable.
Please address this issue immediately and let me know what steps need to be taken to resolve this. I hope for a swift resolution to prevent further damage to my business.
After four hours, everything returned to how it was before. It happened automatically, I believe.

The inform act is taking affect
There is always a justification. Etsy needs to verify your identity as required by law.
They have verified my identity several times before and continue to make payments to my bank account.

In addition to the very helpful link that @CraftyCornishMaids posted, I'll say that keeping up with changes in business law is my responsibility as the business owner. Yes, it's nice when Etsy informs me of these changes, but it's not Etsy's responsibility. It's easy to get lulled into assuming that Etsy must inform me of all changes in the online business environment because Etsy does make it pretty easy to be in business online and does keep us pretty well informed. However, the bottom line is that my business is my responsibility and keeping up with the many laws regarding it is my responsibility as the business owner.
This information has been out there for a while. People have been discussing it for months on the forum.

One thing that may have triggered it is that your location states "United States". Is your banking info in the US?
Yes, his about page sounds like he is in Canada. And Canada has a whole different set of rules.
