Is anyone else receiving orders and then all the sudden Etsy sends an email stating the refund the order because they believe it was an unauthorized purchase? I had this happen twice yesterday, and twice today, and both purchases were legit from clients I've been dealing with. Did Etsy get a new "way too sensitive security system" or what is going on? Any help is appreciated because this is frustrating my clients.
It seems to be happening on orders that are being gifted to someone, going to a different address than what their bill to address is.
The buyer has to contact Etsy. They will not tell what the problem is
Yes, I was told that by Etsy as well, but that is so frustrating for the buyer who just wants a seamless transaction. I'm just wondering how often this is going to happen, there must be a glitch, twice yesterday & twice today? Doesn't seem normal.
Etsy has fairly high security measures at checkout to prevent fraud. If the order is high-dollar, it is more likely to happen. No suggestions, other than if Etsy won't let them buy here, it shouldn't be considered fee avoidance to have them purchase elsewhere.
