Anyone else having issues with the thumbnails on new listings when viewing your shop in the mobile shopping app (not the seller app)? All of my thumbnail photos when viewing my shop look good and normal via desktop browser on either a computer or a phone, but for whatever reason thumbnail photos for new listings are cropped at the top and bottom. This has only been an issue for a day or so, and all of my “older” listings on the mobile app look normal.
To further add to this issue, when adjusting the thumbnail in a listing draft I'll perfectly crop it; then, when I save the draft and view it on the listing drafts page it's overly cropped at the bottom and top and the image is cut off. Then if I publish the listing, it'll look normal in my shop via any device except the mobile shopping app (at least on an Iphone).
Is anyone else having this issue? Etsy has been no help so far with figuring this out.
@PlacidVintage: Which app and which operating system?
The mobile shopping app (not the seller app). On any browser on a PC or apple computer, or on safari via an Iphone, everything looks normal. But the mobile shopping app seems to be the one place that crops the photos, and it's only new listings and only when you're viewing the thumbnails in my shop. If you see the thumbnails in a basic Etsy search via the mobile app, they look fine there too.
Im having the same issue and its really aggravating. Its only new listings. Seems etsy changed the listing photo section AGAIN. Now its overly cropped when I publish but perfect on desktop view, but on the APP its too zoomed in... So I am having to zoom out and sacrificing a good desktop look so its not a crap thumbnail in the app which a lot of people use.
This is disgusting. I’ve always used square images and I used to be able to edit the rectangular thumbnail (which is the format of search results on the mobile app) in the editor. Now I can’t do it no more and instead it’s only letting me adjust the thumbnail for square format. Do they not realise I will have to change ALL of my primary photos because of this, if I want my shop’s listing to be consistent? Additionally Etsy’s support was disgustingly useless and added to my rage and frustration.
