I placed an order with an Etsy seller in my private capacity not as a seller on Etsy.  That seller sent me an email thanking me for the order, but as I didnt respond to it my Star Seller status has been affected.  That cannot be right and adjustment needs to be made so that activity by a seller as an individual not as part of their business does not affect seller ratings.

In the future you should think about copying the sold listing then edit and put it up as a new item.  Renewing the listing then changing pictures seems a bit risky for you and previous customers.  I would think that you would want to have a record of exactly what you sold remaining on your store for at least 100 days incase some issue like this comes up.

I copy the listing available on the drop down menu and save it in draft. I can then edit it as a copy while the original is saved as it is in sold out listings. This is a way around as you're not changing the original with the risk of what has happened to the OP.
