Unable to post to Facebook or Instagram through social media button

I usually post every day to facebook, instagram, twitter and pinterest.  For several weeks, I have not been able to do this.  When I try to post to facebook I get a screen telling me I am connected, but no way to advance. When I try instagram, I do not get the phone message telling me my post is ready.  Please Help!!!

There are quite a few people reporting this. I found this Thread by typing "can't connect to facebook" into the Forum Search Bar).  Then sorted by Date so as to get more recent Threads. Admin made an Announcement in this one.  I do wish there was a pinned Announcement at the top of Technical Issues.  I think it's important enough to be pinned.   I hope it's fixed for you and for all having trouble.

Thank you for your reply.  This has been an issue for me for many weeks now and nothing seems to be happening.  I wish admin would give us an update so that we know they are attempting to correct this problem and not just giving up on it.

I just spent hours on this today - don't know why I didn't think to check here.  Funny how no body I chatted with bothered to mention that this is a reported issue.  Do they just not admit they have an issue to avoid blowback or are they just incompetent and don't know what one hand is doing over the other?

You can always manually post by c/p the item url into your social media posts.

It's Google Chrome, for me. When I change servers to Safari, it's fine. It could be a Chrome fault.

this is on my desktop I'm having issues.  I did try Edge and had the same problem.  Don't have a choice on my phone - I'm using the Etsy app that doesn't work for Insta - I did get it to post to FB, but only my personal page.

I have had this problem for many weeks and have to manually copy and past the URL.  It is very frustrating and so much easier to just click the face book button so I hope they get it fixed soon, it has been not working for many weeks.

Today when I tried to post to FB from the social media tool- I got a message saying I would have to go to FB to complete my ad. I've never seen that before. The tool posted to Pinterest and Twitter as it always has.

Start a chat and stay on it as long as possible. Call any customer service number and report it.  I was on a long chat, where I document every single step of the issue and they were unable to resolve it or even mention that this is an ongoing issue.  They aren't going to move on this until enough people get them motivated to do so.  They did say that they were going to send this to their technical team.  I'm annoyed to see that this has been going on for weeks and it's still not fixed.  I'm also annoyed that they pretty much put this on Facebook.  While sure it probably is FB and Insta that changed something, Meta is NOT going to cater to Etsy - Etsy needs to figure it out.

I was finally able to correct the problem by installing Firefox as a browser and using it.  Thank you all for your suggestions.
